I see...then it may be akin to trust. Understandably so; believing in something you don't trust is a gamble and rather incomprehensible.

What's to keep faith separate from mere wishful thinking? What's keeping faith from being anything more than hoping something goes your way? Wishing for a particular outcome, for example.
