WEEK 2 DAY 1: MISSION

Mission: "Reach the Házsongárdi Cemetery."
Time Limit: Medium
Noise Plane: Solo
Wall Instructions: Key walls on any route between Cluj-Napoca Railway and Házsongárdi Cemetery.
Wall Rewards: Creepy Weepy Barrier
Reaped Rewards: Natural Magnum
Mission Rewards: 500 leu

[While just yesterday the number of Players had dwindled to less than 10, there are now a new bunch to take their place. For Reapers, it's a great chance to rack up your points! For Players... just hope they get erased and not you as you rush to the goal! At least they were clear about where it is this time, though you still must deal with the cliche of lurking around a graveyard while you're a ghost.]

[Ichigo has set up a wall, right outside the graveyard. He's in a mood, too. After being given non-answers about WHY they were getting shuttled around all over the world, he's just fed up.

But it's weird to be near a graveyard and not see any lingering spirits. Ghosts just... didn't exist on this plane. Not unless they were Players.

Already a Player had tried to come through... only to fall to the Noise that Ichigo sent after them. Weak. Maybe he'd give the next Player a break and just ask for a hamburger or something]

[Well, if he wants to go easy on someone, Zecora wouldn't complain if she reaps the benefit of it. Because here she comes, right up to the Wall.]

[Ichigo is, however, surprised to see her again. And this time, it's not because of "What a talking zebra WHAT".]

Zecora! You... you're playing again? But you did so well. Didn't you and Sasuke defeat the GM?

[She gives him a looks somewhere between wry and bitter.]

It seems there is a little surprise --
They did not reverse our demise.
I play again, with no delight.
May I pass, or must we fight?

[Ichigo lets out a huff] Unbelievable. That's... not fair at all. [he frowns and looks at her] Well, it's just the first day. I'm not going to make you fight. But I'm freezing my tail off. Bring me something warm to drink and you can pass. Maybe some cocoa?

If life was fair, I wouldn't be dead.
And yet here I am instead.

[She starts to turn, then pauses, looking back at him.]

There is something I need to know.
Is there a price I could pay for that? Or no?

Pay for what? Getting me cocoa? No. It's not a trick or anything. I'm too cold for tricks. [and too cold for his brain to work properly, so he may not be understanding your message]

The question that I'd ask today
Is one about the Reaper's way.
For an answer, I'd need a fee-
Unless you would tell me for free.

Tell you what. Make it a jumbo hot cocoa with whipped cream, and you can ask any question you want AND I'll clear the wall.

I will be back in a flash
As soon as I find a place to spend cash.

[She nods, then turns to find a shop that can see her. With 10,000 yen -- or whatever -- in her pocket from the last day alone, money isn't going to be much of a problem in this respect.]

[Ichigo gives er a wave, then curls back up into his warm clothes to wait. Pouting. Because it's cold. Have I mentioned it's cold? Because it's cold. And it's literally all Ichigo can think about]

[It takes longer for Zecora to get back than she'd prepared for. There were... complications. Several of them. Almost all of them centering around the fact that she's a zebra. When she does return, the requested drink is in a drink carrier which in turn is in her teeth, and she's looking irritated enough for ten zebras.]

[it must be hard to have no thumbs. Ichigo jumps down from his wall and takes the drink carrier out out of her mouth. He opens the lid and grins down at the contents; steaming hot chocolate covered in whipped cream with chocolate shavings on top. Just what he was after. He takes a sip and it warms him up from the inside-out]

Sorry, if you had any trouble... it's really good, though. ... So uh, what was your question?

[You wouldn't send Noise after Sora, right, Ichigo? After all, he talked to you once last week! That means you're friends!

Thus is Sora's logic, anyway.

Looks like he's feeling a little less upbeat this time around, but he's still managing a half-grin]

Hey, Ichigo. Long time no see.

Hey, kid. [Ichigo gives a weak smile] I'm happy to see you alive. ... Well... sort of. Not Erased.

Yeah. Turns out Riku and I pulled through.

The rest of my friends are... well, I'm still looking for them. Some of them are Reapers, so they should be somewhere around here. [But Roxas, and Axel, and... Kairi... well. They can't be far, right?]

So--what's the challenge?

[Ichigo frowns. He'd seen Axel get Erased... not by his hand, though. But he... doesn't say anything about it.] Yeah. Sorry, I haven't seen them.

[he looks up and seems to be thinking] ... Bring me a hot lunch. I'm cold and hungry and I can't leave this wall. Here. [he tosses him a 500 yen pin] Should be plenty.

[Sora catches it, albeit with some fumbling.] Thanks. I'll be back before you can, uh... I'll be back soon.

[And he runs off. It takes him a half hour or so to find his way back, still feeling his way around the place, and he's holding something in a bag. You said hot, right? Well... it was hot. Now it's approaching lukewarm.]

Eheh... sorry, I got kinda lost. Here.

[Ichigo just snorts and rolls his eyes. God forbid this kid meet Ryoji; the world might explode from friendliness.

When Sora gets back, Ichigo is bundled up in his parka, glaring at nothing in particular. So. Freaking. Cold.

Ichigo says nothing as he takes the bag and peeks into it. It seemed to be typical fast food fare and... well... at least it was warmer than the ambient temperature.]

Hm. Alright. Wall Clear.

[Aaaaactually, speaking of Ryoji...

But, right, okay, wall clear! EXCELLENT]

Thanks, Ichigo. I'll see you around, okay?

[geeeeezzzzz.... Maybe their collective FRIENDNESS could warm up everything...]

Yeah. It won't be so easy tomorrow. I... can't go easy on you just because we're friends. Got it?

[For a moment, Sora looks sad, and a little surprised, mouth falling open.

But... he's starting to understand how this game works. So it only lasts a moment before his mouth sets in a determined line, and he nods.]

Yeah. I'll still see you around.

[Ichigo gives him a sad smile, then nods] This is a terrible game. But I'm gonna find out a way to change it. ... Oh! [from the depths of his parka, he removes a pin, Creepy Weepy Barrier, and tosses it to him] This is yours. It's psyche is pretty useful.

[and now, if you'll excuse him, he's gonna eat before it gets any colder]

[Someday, Sora will manage to catch something that is unexpectedly thrown to him without fumbling it. Today is not that day.] Hey, thanks.

Let me know if you need any help, with the changing-it stuff. I just want to make sure everyone gets home safely--Game or no Game.

We'll figure something out. In the meantime, you survive. I'll have to test you, of course... but I think you'll be fine.
