[After a long trek through the snowy field, a row of fancy heat lamps and a stone gate finally come into view. Through it, the town of Lutie is visible, and looking quite welcoming with its Christmas greetings everywhere. Compared to the frozen tundra, you'll want to hurry inside - just try not to let the wall hit you on the way in! And once the gate is passed, the first thing you'll see is a massive Christmas Tree.... ]

(Huh...well that's a simple condition for a wall. Oh well; Kreutzer doesn't mind. She's actually in a poor mood because of the change of location. It's nothing against the cold, but something she wanted to keep from last week didn't come with her and she's pretty depressed about that. And it shows.

She's not in the mood for harrying (or dressing warmly, apparently), so she puts up a wall in front of the gate and waits for players who'll fulfill the requirements.)

[Ryoji's not really thinking about his Reaper duties right now. The snow must have frozen his mind or something. Or, you know, he's just being as lazy as usual.

If any Players pass, they'll find him wandering around the tree, picking up presents to shake them. Wonder if any of them have their names on them!]

[There's another Reaper flying about the area, looking for Players to harass harry, when he spots Ryoji walking around shaking presents.

Well, now Asakura's curious.]

What are you doing?

It's Christmas! I'm looking for gifts for all of us!

...I can't find any though.

[Not to mention the difficulty Ryoji's having trying to read Korean.]

[Oh, look, it's that girl that was there when the Incident That Never Happened with the pony was a thing. Asakura's been in a fouler mood than usual what with all the Christmas cheer going on, and he's not been able to find any Players to harry. Might as well go make a little conversation to amuse himself.]

Someone looks down in the dumps.

[He is far, far too happy about that.]

(Oh, wonderful. Him. Is he seriously looking to start something? Oh well; his funeral.)

Gifts...for...right. Like presents for everyone are just going to magically appear out in the middle of nowhere.

[...Tannenbaum? That...is a word. It is a word that Leon cannot decipher for the life of him. ...No, seriously. What is a Tannenbaum and where does he need to look? He's really just losing his ability to understand what's going on.

...Well, sort of losing. It's cold out, and that town looks very welcoming. And it's warm. He's running to it--he'll find out what a tannenwhatsit is later.

[Fluttercruel comes right the fuck out of nowhere and looks as if she's about to tackle this unsuspecting player.]

[Grovyle is settled up close to the wall, himself. He hadn't had any orders to keep an eye on Kreutz after last week, but he seemed interested in sticking around anyway. He doesn't say anything without provocation, just making sure she's aware of his presence.]

I wasn't aware they allowed leeches to become reapers; it's not as if they need the numbers.

(She shrugs.)

Well if that's all, then perhaps you should return to attempting to be useful.

[--OW. Congratulations, Kreutzer. It wasn't necessarily intentional, but maybe seeing some idiot run face first will lighten the mood just a bit? He didn't exactly think to see if there might've been a wall there...

...Just give him several seconds to recover from the fall, and recover some of his dignity as well.]

Oh, um, sorry... I don't mean to be a bother, but have you seen a dog around here anywhere?

[Oh, burn. Careful, he's looking rather annoyed now, and he's getting within punching range.]

I've been unable to find anyone to harry. It's getting vexing.

[He's looking dismissively at the wall.]

As though this is so useful...this game gets boring at times.

[He did wall duty once. Never again.]

(A glance over helps Kreutzer become aware of his presence. A welcome luxury, honestly; at least she had something-- no. Someone by her side.

It wouldn't be right to say she was on her best behavior; that would imply she was actually trying. Unlike before when she chose not to, here she literally can't. Still, she's doing the job regardless.)

...You'll freeze if you stay out here with me.

(At least her concern is genuine.)

Then perhaps you're going about it the wrong way. (She glances back at the wall.)

From here, I can look over much of the area. It's quite the location for surveillance.

(She shrugs again.)

But it's not my fault if you can't can't keep yourself entertained. It's not as if you don't have options.

[Holy--Leon flinches right back and looks like he's about to turn tail and run away before Fluttershy asks her question. He'd...question how the heck she could talk if she's a pony like a sane person, but he's a little freaked out and just answer's her question.]

No way, I ain't seen any dog around here! [That...came out very panicked. He's answering honestly, but he's got his arms up like he's trying to defend himself.]

Not like it'll kill me. I'm more worried about you. You're taking this hard for someone you barely knew.

[Yeah, he knows what went on between Kreutzer and the Flutters, even if he wasn't there for the incident. The two of them were pretty obvious in trying to figure out how to keep that puppy safe and sheltered, on Day 6, and the upswing in Kreutzer's mood on Day 7 was pretty obvious.]

(Careful; you might've dropped that pride in the snow. Make sure not to lose it; it's like looking for contact lenses.

What that little stunt does, however, is draw her attention away from her sadness. Not enough to make her laugh, but it's a step up.)

...Congratulations; you found the wall.

(And a little sarcasm. That's a plus.)

(Kreutzer might not have explicitly told him, but it's not like they were keeping it a secret. Of course he'd know; they're partners.

That actually makes it a bit easier to talk about.)

Barely knowing the puppy is partially why it hurts; I didn't get the chance to know it very well. I was prepared to, but I got my hopes too high up. It stood as much of a chance as I did.

I'm just hoping the cold will numb my emotions.

[Judging by the shift in his body language and look in his eyes, that was a threat. Behavior like this is probably why he doesn't have any friends.]

Anyone can survive on their own if they want to. That one had the will, that's probably why you got so attached to it.

[It's a weird way of saying "the puppy will be fine, it's strong", but...]
