WEEK 3 DAY 3: MISSION

Mission: Spread holiday cheer to the town!
Time Limit: Long
Noise Plane: Solo
Wall Instructions: Neku, the Flutters, and Kreutzer are explicitly assigned to wall duty, other reapers may man key walls around town as desired. Wall-clearing requirements must involve cheering the reaper in question up somehow.
Wall Rewards: Whirlygig Juggle
Reaped Rewards: Aqua Ghost
Mission Rewards: Adamantite
Bonus Reward: Love Me Tether

[It seems this week's GM is pretty easy-going, as this is another simple mission... it seems that spirits are still somewhat down amidst the RG, to say nothing of the Reapers. Obviously, one or more of them need to be happy to clear the mission. But which ones?

Strangely, all phones will get a second mail a few minutes after the first, though it's a little different than the mission mail... it actually seems to be in a somewhat stylized script, and reads quite differently.]

While those in this Game are carrying out your mission, there is one grinch who seems to be quite intent on befouling the name of this town and perhaps all of Christmas! Perhaps if you could find it in your heart to spread a little Christmas cheer to that snakey soul, Santa might have an extra present for you!

[This... doesn't seem to be part of the mission, but is it a prank? Santa does live in town...]

Rarely do people ever expect the Game. Only if you're capable of seeing it from the RG, and even then... [Shrug.]

[Once Neku's pin isn't stunned any more, he'll go ahead and try and just push Sasuke's pin off.]

[If it looks like it can cause the most damage, then that's just the sort of Noise Asakura prefers. Bigger's always better, right?

As much as it vexes him to do so, he steps back and gets out of the dragon's way. It's snapping in Sasuke's direction now and hasn't done much more than that.]

[Zecora isn't above using her greater equine speed to put distance between herself and the Mammoth, then spins to face it. Eyes Full of Light is her oldest pin, so focusing energy on the Mammoth is second nature to her by now.]

[Zecora is sympathetic to her feelings, at least; she understand what it's like to want something intriguing, but dangerous. She just has wisdom from experience Fluttercruel doesn't have.]

I think it's rather entertaining.

[He's flying along just so he can keep an eye on the action and make sure Zecora knows who she's dealing with. At least he hasn't spotted any reflective surfaces in the area so he can make it worse.]

[Yo! Leon turns to the other guy, flashing his Sexy D pin with a grin in the process.]

Trying to practice this pin's psych, man! It's like you can lift shit with your mind! [Here he goes, trying it again--the wreath lifts up off the ground juuuuust a bit, getting Leon's hopes up--before plopping right back down to the ground as he tries to turn to show off. ...Dammit.]

It's supposed be used to throw things, but I'm practicing it to pass this mission! [Which...isn't really going that good if he can't lift it more than a few feet off the ground.]

[Oh good, he can see her. She finishes her wave with a bit more enthusiasm.]

[She's mistaken him for a reaper because of his stillness. The suspicious attire might also have something to do with it.]

[And she wasn't going to argue with that either]

I just never met someone who doesn't like it, that's all.

[And... that's one pin of his knocked off. But hey, he lasted a lot longer than last time. His second pin will be played a little more defensively.]

[This pin is beginning to run out of Whammies, so it's really in Neku's best interest to get rid of it. But he'll try slamming against Sasuke's to see how far he can get.]

[And Sasuke now has some long distance attacking pins now, so fighting the big ugly is easier for him than last time. He only gets in close when he needs to wait for the pin to charge and uses another pin then. Being his third week and having faced a few of these, Sasuke clearly has the attack patterns learned by now.]

[So sorry.]

[Once Sasuke figures that out, he slams his pin into Neku's, trying to knock it off. He saves his Whammies for the next pin.]

Eventually, after a bit of struggle, Neku's pin does go off. But the next one comes on quickly, slamming up to Sasuke's before quickly activating the Stinger.]

[He knows that Neku has twice as many pins as he does to win, so he has to beat two pins to every one of his. However, he's only taken one down. There's a tough battle from here on out. He attempts to counter it with his own Whammie.]

[At least they're not being forced into sing Christmas carols for hours this time. So Minato can actually sing what he wants, which is this. Hey, it should cheer someone up.]

[And Asakura, whose battle strategies usually just boil down to "Hit the other guy harder than he's hitting you," just wishes he could get one of his Mirror Monsters out to play because clearly they're more competent monster lackeys. The Drake Noise is defeated, much to his surprise.]

How vexing...

[He'll pull out another Noise pin. The Mammoth is the biggest and must therefore be the best, right?]

I guess but...in the meantime, I think I really should figure out where I am...

I just hope that with the holidays, everyone will be in a good mood and help me figure some things out.
