Mission Rewards: Scarletite

[This is the vaguest mystery ever. But, scan around and one thing will become apparent. Even if the second day was spent entirely clearing noise from the area, they're all back in full force, and they seem to be possessing more people than usual. These people have feelings of hopelessness, apathy and death. But just scanning them doesn't seem to give the answers why. If the mission can believed, this is not something the Reapers have done, but something to do with the world itself. Surely someone must know the truth....]

[Rin blinks. She didn't expect him to already have an idea. She thinks briefly, then says]

If you know something, then that could be just what we're supposed to be looking for. ♪

That would be the Noise doing that.

["Ascertain the world's circumstance." Well, the answer isn't just the fact that there are tons of Noise everywhere, obviously.]

Hmm. It's much more aggressive than the last time. I was going to say it's opportunity for us [reapers.]. But this is way too much.

... That's what I'm afraid of.

[He sighs heavily.]

I'll tell you what's going on, but try not to panic.

[He almost asks her not to be angry, but stops himself. He wouldn't be surprised if she was upset, and doesn't he deserve that kind of backlash?]

[And as soon as the handshake is initiated, a bright light envelops them for a couple of seconds, and the pact is complete!]

-Whoa! Shiny. ♪

It looks like we can agree on that point, Mr. Reaper.

[Sasuke puts his hands in his pockets]

So, are the Reapers going to be doing anything or just letting the Players clean up the RG mess again?

[recklessice]

Of course, we will do 'something'. But I have to about it first.

[Or in other words, he has no plan yet :3]

[Sasuke gives him a long hard look. Is he really so cheerful about all this? Or just completely dense to what it all means?]

Yeah, you go do that, and I'll be on my way.

Can't say I was expecting it to be quite like that.

[Quick, painless, and no one had to explode in a nuclear reactor. Easier than forming partnerships back home. He gestures to the door.]

[Hey, when you're dead, it's not like you've got anywhere to be, really. And sure, he's got the Game to worry about, but he figures he's got quite a bit of time to get to the bottom of things here.]

[Asakura has someone's shoe now. Where he got the shoe from is a mystery, as he still has both of his. There's probably some poor NPC wandering around the hotel now, wondering where in the world their shoe got off to. He hurls that at Ryoji, despite the fact that even he's noticed that something is very wrong here.]

[Sasuke comes running up to him, having spotted him across the lobby.]

Hey, Mr. Reaper. You gotta moment?

TESTING TESTING for bug related purposes

Me either, really. ♪

[Rin nods, and flings the door open again. The noise don't seem so eager to eat her now that she's not alone. Still, she could use the exercise.]

We're going to take some of these out, okay? ♪

[Before he can argue, concentrated light from her Cornered Rat pin begins assailing one of the stray noise. Rin smirks, back in business.]

[Spotting a black coat, Rin calls out to the person whom she believes she was told about earlier.]

Hey! Are you Xion? ♪

[poppetstrings]

[Xion turns around, hearing her name spoken. She pauses, before pointing to herself uncertainly.]

Perhaps a plan might be in order--

[Nope, too late. Such a familiar situation. All the Professor has is Crackle Pop Barrier, but at least it's got something of fire to it. He can work with that. He's staying put, but at least it looks like he's got a pretty good idea of where to send barriers made of fire to help Rin out.]

[....On second thought he's not going outside with 'that' situation.]

[If Xion needs a break, the hotel seems to be relatively Noise-free. In fact, the whole place is rather empty. Ryoji is one of the few people still inside right now.

He hasn't looked at Xion yet, but that's simply because he has his head in his hands.]

[Even Xion needs a break, so when she does, and see's Ryoji..

She crouches in front of him, gently reaching out to put her hand on his shoulder to get his attention.]

[Yeah, he kinda doubts he can]

Hm? [Ichigo is sure he heard his name. He turns, then notices Ryoji. A cold sense of dread settles into his stomach, like an icy stone. He swallows, then gives his best smile]

Ah, Ryoji. Hey. Didn't even see you there.
