[Darkness. Silence. That's all that hangs over Tatsumi Port. The city is completely blacked out, all signals are dead. No phones work, there's nothing but static on televisions and radios across town.

The sky is overcast, and the people on the Realground have found themselves looking up towards the sky... perhaps the giant tower standing where Gekkoukan High School once was might be an indication of why. Oddly, none on the RG seem to actually see it - at least, none of them notice it, judging by what you might find if you scan.

Speaking of scanning... the area is shockingly noise free. There's no interference, just a calm, unflinching acceptance.

All of the walls are down. Reapers have no orders, players have no mission. It's obvious there's one thing left to do.]

I don't believe in fate!

[Such a shounen protag, Ichigo. The ball grows, seeming to pull in light and dirt particles like a mini, bright red singularity. Then it abruptly implodes into a single point. From the point, a huge beam of the same red and white light explodes towards Nyx.

A Cero was among the most powerful abilities in a Hollow's arsenal, seemingly so named because it could reduce its target to nothing. The beam is superhot, and probably the closest thing to a "death ray" that exists]

[The Cero is certainly powerful, and it does severely injure Nyx, yet the beam unfortunately cannot live up to its name, as when the light clears, Nyx is still standing, and it doesn't even seem mildly angered by the attack.]

The moment man devoured the fruit of knowledge, he sealed his fate... Entrusting his future to the cards, man clings to a dim hope. Yes, the Arcana is the means by which all is revealed. It requires great courage to look at oneself honestly, and forge one's own path...

[After Nyx's speech, it lifts its sword, striking the ground to send fire shooting out towards Ichigo.]

[Ichigo looks positively stunned. The explosion was impressive, and he was wiped out from it. He's breathing hard, nearly panting, but the thing is just standing there...

And quoting scripture? Or something?]

[he deftly dodges to the side, using his wings to carry him out of the way of the flame]
