WEEK 1 DAY 6: MISSION

Mission: "Erase the boss noise."
Time Limit: Short
Noise Plane: Solo
Wall Instructions: None. Keep harrying.
Wall Rewards: ( If anyone puts one up anyway: Hot Dog )
Reaped Rewards: Murasame
Mission Rewards: Earthshake

[Anyone who saw the Noise Sigils from Tocho's Observation Decks the day before will know exactly what this mission is talking about. Those who didn't may not realize that there is more than one. That plural form's sneaky.

But either way, there's a Mammoth Boss in the middle of Shinjuku Gyoen, and a Fox Boss in front of the Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower. They are very tough and cannot be defeated alone. Apparently the GM really has it out for the Players today - and anyone who steps to the plate may feel as though they're being watched.]

[Sasuke is continuing his search from yesterday looking for his partner. After that very tough battle, he's thinking he really needs to find Ms. Zebra before moving ahead.]

(Which is all fine and dandy since hey, this is gonna be one of those really rough days and all that. Totally understandable.

...except today is the day Kreutzer decides to step her game up. So here she comes, ready to give a hearty dose of harassment.)

Oh, you're not too lost, are you? Today's rather important and the last thing you want to do is find yourself in the wrong place at the wrong time.

[Ah damn it. It's just not his luck lately. Sasuke puts on a smile.]

Nope, not lost at all, Ms. Reaper. Feel free to go on your merry way.

[Yeah, he has a feeling that isn't going to work.]

(Nope, it's not gonna be that easy. Sorry, bro.)

Then you already know exactly where you're going and how to get there? I commend anyone who can learn the layout of an entire city in less than a week.

But if you know where you're going and how to get there, then you must have plenty of time to spare. How about a little practice for what lies ahead?

(Which means here, have some wolf noise to play with. Cute little guys, aren't they? Sharp fangs, too. Those can be pretty lethal.)

[Such is his life... or afterlife.]

All right, let's make this quick then.

[He gets his pin "Go 2 Hell" ready and starts his attack.]

(The immediate charge forward hits a wolf head on, tossing it backwards and against a building. The other three leap out of the way and try to circle him, leaping forward to try and pounce him.)

Hey hey! No need to get so rough!

[A few of the wolves's attacks hit, and Sasuke cringes. He wastes no time lunging forward with another Go 2 Hell psych.]

They're simply being playful. And coordinated. With proper coordination, even the most hopeless of situations seem surmountable.

(Was that a hint? Doesn't matter; bashing them with Go 2 Hell seems to be working well enough. As a matter of fact, the attack even manages to erase one of the wolves.

The one thrown against the building before stands back up and reunites with the others, but instead of going for another combination attack, they proceed to dash back and forth, occasionally taking swipes at Sasuke. Though they're fast, the movements are actually rather predictable.)

[Considering that his only attacking pin is Go 2 Hell, Sasuke does his best to find an opening that can use the pin's strength. Right before two wolves cross before him, he activates his pin and charges, hitting them both at the same time.]

I wouldn't count me out just yet.

(After a good show of timing like that, Kreutzer isn't inclined to do that just yet. The two wolves get easily erased after that.

The remaining one is a little too hesitant to attack after watching its fellow wolves get erased. Not much for it to coordinate without others to coordinate with, so its last resort? Lots of running and attacking; once you're on your own without other options, the only other one is to go all out. So expect much more lunging from this one.)

[The attacks force Sasuke to use his healing pin as he runs around and waits for his Go 2 Hell pin to recharge. A cornered animal is tougher to beat, but at the same time, Sasuke shows no sympathy for the Noise. A few exchanges of dodging, attack, and healing, and the Noise is erased.]

(Once the final wolf noise is done away with, Kreutzer gives a round of applause.)

Well done. Perhaps you're ready for the battle ahead, after all.

(She conjures up one of her enchanted dolls to hand over his reward: the Murasame pin. No tricks; Sasuke earned it.)

[He takes the pin from the doll and returns all his pins to his pockets.]

Thank you, and now that we've gotten that out of the way, I really must be going.

(Kreutzer steps aside and allows him to proceed onwards.)
