[After a long trek through the snowy field, a row of fancy heat lamps and a stone gate finally come into view. Through it, the town of Lutie is visible, and looking quite welcoming with its Christmas greetings everywhere. Compared to the frozen tundra, you'll want to hurry inside - just try not to let the wall hit you on the way in! And once the gate is passed, the first thing you'll see is a massive Christmas Tree.... ]

So there ARE monsters outside of town. I hadn't checked yet. [he gives Josh a little grin. Seems like everyone wants to play hooky today. Not like there's not enough Reapers out and about to cover the job just fine, anyway] I'm hoping to get a sword, but man... my money's not gonna go very far. So I guess... if this is an RPG, what I should do to get money is kill monsters, right?

Little slime balls, yes. [He's clearly amused. He's also going more for the mage gear here.] That's typically what they do in RPGs, from what I gather! I don't see much point in leveling up, but grinding for money or items is also commonplace.

Just little slime balls? Ugh. How boring. [he frowns] Well we don't even... have levels. Do we? Whatever. I do need money. Even the cheapest katana is out of my price range. [he takes out one of his extra pins] Do you think they'll buy these?

From what I've seen. There could be bigger, nastier things out there~ [A smile, and he picks up one of the staves. ... ouch, Ichigo wasn't joking about the price.] I doubt we have levels, but hopefully we can make use of these regardless. It helps the atmosphere of it all. [Setting that staff down and glancing over!] I can't see why they would want anything to do with our pins. It seems like farming up money on our own is the best option.

Good. My knowledge of RPGs isn't... that great.... but "little slimes" sounds like weak little monsters who don't drop anything. I could probably step on them and they'd die. [he sighs] I was afraid of that. And the money pins I do have are so devalued!

[leggierissimo]

I don't know... I wouldn't underestimate something just because it looks so weak. [He picks up a set of robes, feeling of the material.] I suppose we'll just have to find some way of making money here, then, hm?

Well, the only way I know how to make money in RPGs is to.... battle enemies and sell the loot, or run errands. [a group of warriors runs past, in the general direction of the Candy Factory] ... Where are they off to in such a hurry?

[leggierissimo]

[... hm! Curious indeed. He leans back from the stand, watching the warriors run off with obvious interest.] ... good question. It looks like there's action going on somewhere.

"the Candy Factory." [one of the merchants grins and leans toward them over his cart] "It's overrun with powerful monsters. Warriors come through here all the time headed that'away."

Candy Factory? [Ichigo screws up his face, confused, then looks at Josh] Might be worth checkin' out.

[Hm. Joshua sits, listening to the merchant's explanation and watching where the group of warriors are running off to. After a moment he turns to Ichigo, raising an eyebrow.]

Well, it has your stronger monsters, anyway. Brave enough to try?

[tamedhollow]

Well, we might as well take a look.

[leggierissimo]

[Shrug!] Let's just hope our normal methods of attacking will work.

[tamedhollow]

Well, if it doesn't, we'll run. Fast. [he grins, then tunes back to the UG and slips off through the crowd toward the candy factory. It looks pretty innocuous from the outside but... he's pretty sure he just heard a bloodcurdling scream.

He blinks, then points out the decal to Josh]

Check it out, they decaled this place.

What a solid plan. [Sarcasm, obviously. Joshua is quick to follow, tuning himself to the UG as he steps away from the stands. And apparently, looks were fairly deceiving, if that scream is any indication...]

So they have. I suppose this is where the Players are meant to go to earn money, since it obviously isn't a shop and there are no levels to be gained.

Yeesh. I don't know if I want to go in here. I'm getting some seriously bad vibes... [but his curiosity is strong. He'll just stay near the door.

Ichigo cautiously enters the candy factory--

-- to be greeted with the sight of warriors and christmassy monsters running amok]

... I dont think they actually make candy in this place.

Are you, now? [Joshua tilts his head, regarding the doors of the factory with curiosity. He can feel some pretty negative energy, true, but...

Following Ichigo inside, he's not at all surprised by what they find.]

Wow. Couldn't have made that observation without you, Ichigo-kun.

[tamedhollow]

Hey, shut up. Why would they call it that, then? [>:V]

Irony? [Shrug! It makes sense to him.]

[tamedhollow]

Annoying. [Ichigo frowns and watches a group of adventurers take down a couple of... elves? Is that what those are?]

I don't know if I want to go in more than this.

[leggierissimo]

[They kind of looks like elves, so... it's highly probable, considering the environment.]

You want money, don't you? [Smirk.] I'm sure they aren't all that bad.

[tamedhollow]

[Josh, you are just calling him a chicken in the most roundabout way possible, aren't you. He glares at the other Reaper, then sighs and summons his ethereal blade]

Are you gonna help, or are you just gonna watch?

[leggierissimo]

[More or less, yes. He tilts his head, appearing to seriously be considering the question.]

I think I'll hang out back here. I'm not much of a 'get-in-your-face' type. And besides, I don't want to work up a sweat.

[Ichigo rolls his eyes. He could at LEAST be his squishy mage.

He treads off into the factory, provoking one of the green elf things.

And then promptly gets swarmed by about seven more of the damn things. He swats at them with his sword, then decides to make a tactical retreat]

They don't fight fair!!

[Surprises do come in the most unlikely of places~

Joshua stays near the entrance, cell phone in hand and raised to his lips. And he looks amused. Way too amused.]

It makes sense that they would help one of their own, doesn't it?

[Well, that tactical retreat doesn't seem to be helping a whole lot, considering a few are still following. With a long-suffering sigh, Joshua flips open his phone, keying in a couple of things and jerking his hand towards the elf creatures. With each keystroke, a small beam of bluish-white light strikes one of them at random. And with the final movement, a much larger one - with cherubs, no less - engulfs the entire group, leaving a couple knocked out cold and the rest of them fairly dazed.]

[Ichigo can only watch, stunned, as Josh does his... Jesus beam thing... Wow. What. He does regain enough sense to stab each one in the head once they're dazed and KO'd, quickly eliminating the whole group. Then, without even picking up his loot, he turns to Josh]

The hell was that?!
