[After a long trek through the snowy field, a row of fancy heat lamps and a stone gate finally come into view. Through it, the town of Lutie is visible, and looking quite welcoming with its Christmas greetings everywhere. Compared to the frozen tundra, you'll want to hurry inside - just try not to let the wall hit you on the way in! And once the gate is passed, the first thing you'll see is a massive Christmas Tree.... ]

[Neku snorts a little.] Angry snowmen, maybe?

And the final boss is a Yeti in Santa costume. Oh yeah, real spooky crap out here. [Ichigo adjusts his scarf and then heads off into the woods... half expecting to smack into a wall before getting too far. But he doesn't.

What he does see is something adorable.

And gelatinous.

And smiling up at them]

... You have got to be kidding.

[...Yea, no. Neku's used to Noise looking at least a little scary. Except pig noise. They don't count.]

What is this?

[the little slime bounces at them. Cutely]

Uh... it looks like... snot. Not gonna lie. Looks like sentient snot.

Let's... just go somewhere else. [If this thing attacks them, he can just... set it on fire or something.]

[Ichigo nods and heads off deeper into the field. But the little Marin just bobs along behind them.

Then spits a really cold blast of water at Ichigo He bristles and turns around]

Hey!! That's really cold!!

[Yup, Neku doesn't care how cute it is. It's getting set on fire now.]

[That doesn't seem to work very well. The little slime ball seems to be in pain, but it's also made of slime. It fires off another bolt of freezing-ass cold water, which Ichigo dodges this time. Cloaking the claws on his feet in shadowy flame, he kicks the thing like he would kick a soccer ball.

It goes flying, leaving behind a little purple rock]

... This is dumb.

You can say that again.

[Regardless, Ichigo picks up the little purple rock (which smells funny) and puts it in a messenger bag he brought with him for loot.

If this is even loot.]

There has got to be something bigger than a frozen snot out here.

Hopefully. Let's keep going.

[Ichigo nods and trudges out through the snow. Not much out here except snow, trees, and snot balls]

[this is exceedingly annoying.] Nothing else? Really?

I could try and sniff something out? [seems like the best option, now. If there's anything out here, he should be able to smell it]

[That's still weird to him, but it's useful!]

[Weird as hell. But a hunter had to have the tools to hunt.

Ichigo drops down on all fours, pawing at the snow, then he stands back up and sniffs the air. This way, and that... and then he catches a whiff of something rather... pungent in the wind]


Urghh! There's definitely something upwind of here. Something... kind of bear-ish?

Bear-ish? [Well, at least it's not a slime... thing.] Wanna check it out?

Bears have a real distinctive smell. It's kind of like that. [he nods] Whatever it is, it'll be more interesting than the snots. Let's go.

Ok. [And off they go! we're going on a bear hunt, to see what we can se--/shot]

[NO SINGING ON THE BEAR HUNT.

Ichigo follows the scent, and eventually finds something large, white, and fluffy curled up in the snow. He grabs his nose and whispers harshly to Neku]

God, do you smell that? I think my nose is gonna fall off.

Um... not more than normal, really. [Sorry, he has a boring human noise.

But this thing... looks interesting. He briefly checks to make sure he has his good pins one, just in case.]

God... You're lucky.

[it's asleep, but that can change quickly. But Ichigo doesn't want to accidentally attack a native or something. A sapient native. So he carefully, cautiously pokes the white hunk of fur with his claws. It growls, then rolls over and stands up.

And the sasquatch roars really loud]

Well it's not nice!! [Ichigo summons his "blade"]

[Did you just- sigh. Oh well.

Neku has his pins ready, starting with the fire pin again. Hey, everything around here is ice and snow, so it should do something.]

[If you haven't noticed yet, Neku, Ichigo sometimes does stupid things.

But he's also a very competent fighter. He unleashes a flurry of slashes on the bear-thing. It retaliates with a very powerful swing of its paws, catching Ichigo off guard and slamming him into a nearby tree with a rather loud "CRACK".

And now the bleeding sasquatch has its eyes on Neku]


Ow.... He... packs a punch...

Are you ok?!

[Even as he says that, he attacks, fire swelling up around the creature and if that doesn't work, getting stabbing by giant icicles should.]
