WEEK 3 DAY 3: MISSION

Mission: Spread holiday cheer to the town!
Time Limit: Long
Noise Plane: Solo
Wall Instructions: Neku, the Flutters, and Kreutzer are explicitly assigned to wall duty, other reapers may man key walls around town as desired. Wall-clearing requirements must involve cheering the reaper in question up somehow.
Wall Rewards: Whirlygig Juggle
Reaped Rewards: Aqua Ghost
Mission Rewards: Adamantite
Bonus Reward: Love Me Tether

[It seems this week's GM is pretty easy-going, as this is another simple mission... it seems that spirits are still somewhat down amidst the RG, to say nothing of the Reapers. Obviously, one or more of them need to be happy to clear the mission. But which ones?

Strangely, all phones will get a second mail a few minutes after the first, though it's a little different than the mission mail... it actually seems to be in a somewhat stylized script, and reads quite differently.]

While those in this Game are carrying out your mission, there is one grinch who seems to be quite intent on befouling the name of this town and perhaps all of Christmas! Perhaps if you could find it in your heart to spread a little Christmas cheer to that snakey soul, Santa might have an extra present for you!

Ho ho ho~!

[This... doesn't seem to be part of the mission, but is it a prank? Santa does live in town...]

[[OOC note: Just like W2D7, you get a secondary mission! It's not gonna be easy, though, and the Reaper in question definitely did NOT agree to such a thing...]]

(...Welp. So much for trying to keep the snow out of her hair. With a surprised squeal, she quickly brushes the snow off of her head. Jeez Josh, way to catch a girl off guard.)

...Was that really necessary?
cruel_kindness: (Disappointed)

[personal profile] cruel_kindness 2013-01-01 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
[Fluttercruel doesn't say anything else as she continues waiting for a player to come and cheer her up.]
leggierissimo: (I'm sexting at the dinner table.)

[personal profile] leggierissimo 2013-01-01 02:38 am (UTC)(link)
[Joshua just waves from above, resting his chin in his hand.]

Possibly.
suicidoll: (Kreutzer-lineface)

[personal profile] suicidoll 2013-01-01 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
Of course.

(She brushes the last of the snow out of her hair. Damn cold...)

Well I suppose we're all meant to relax today, including their "grinch."
shinbunshinobi: sprite icon of TWEWY styled Sasuke (I hit Date's face with a soccer ball)

[personal profile] shinbunshinobi 2013-01-01 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
[Of course he is. The game's not getting rid of him that easily.]

Ah, that sounds fun.

[No, it doesn't. Sasuke puts his hands in his pockets.]

So... what do I have to do this time? Another Tin Pin game? Fight some Noise? Grab a bite to eat?
needsmorezippers: (Neku [Ugh])

[personal profile] needsmorezippers 2013-01-01 04:36 am (UTC)(link)
[...sigh.]

Apparently you're supposed to try and 'cheer me up.' [GOOD LUCK WITH THAT.]
needsmorezippers: (Neku [Ugh])

[personal profile] needsmorezippers 2013-01-01 04:37 am (UTC)(link)
Apparently, need cheering up. [B| basically his reputation as an emo kid is now official]
shinbunshinobi: icon of Sasuke looking a bit tired of things (I can't leave you two for one second)

[personal profile] shinbunshinobi 2013-01-01 05:06 am (UTC)(link)
[He'll need it.]

Cheer you up, huh. What's bothering you to begin with? And saying this game doesn't count. Unfortunately, I'm not the person in charge here, so I can't change that.
needsmorezippers: (Neku [Awkward])

[personal profile] needsmorezippers 2013-01-01 05:07 am (UTC)(link)
...Nothing, really. Other than that, yea. [He's just dispositionally kind of grumpy.]
shinbunshinobi: icon of Sasuke saying hello ('sup peoples of the depressed squad)

[personal profile] shinbunshinobi 2013-01-01 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
Well, it looks like I won't be getting through this wall anytime soon with an attitude like that.

[He whips out a few pins.]

I've got time to kill... so how about a Tin Pin game?
needsmorezippers: (Neku [Awkward])

[personal profile] needsmorezippers 2013-01-01 05:34 am (UTC)(link)
[he's sorry he's just an emo kid.]

Oh, ok. Sure. [That's not quite enough to count as cheering him up, but it's a start...]
leggierissimo: (Made out with a random kid at a frat.)

[personal profile] leggierissimo 2013-01-01 07:18 am (UTC)(link)
Some of us, anyway. It seems like you're one of the ones having Players sicced on them, though, so I'm not sure I would exactly call that relaxation...
leggierissimo: (You get free flipflops.)

[personal profile] leggierissimo 2013-01-01 07:24 am (UTC)(link)
[Snort.]

Well, I can't really argue with that.
suicidoll: (Kreutzer-stand)

[personal profile] suicidoll 2013-01-01 07:37 am (UTC)(link)
...Some of us, yes; myself excluded. I almost want to say it's a test of patience, but someone wanting a good laugh is enough explanation.

(You should be familiar with trolling, Kreutz; it's nothing new to you.)
leggierissimo: (If you can't get laid it's your problem.)

[personal profile] leggierissimo 2013-01-01 07:39 am (UTC)(link)
That sounds about right, honestly.

[Whoever it is, he has to give them kudos for targeting a few Reapers in all of this. It makes it a little more fun.]

I wonder, just why would you need cheering up, anyway?
suicidoll: (kreutzer-tea)

[personal profile] suicidoll 2013-01-01 07:49 am (UTC)(link)
(The Reapers most suitable (note: feeling down) for the job were chosen, apparently. Just goes to show that the higher ups really are paying attention.

Telling him straight out won't be fun, so she'll just be indirect. You're a smart boy, Josh; you can figure it out unless you already know you cheater
)

They felt I needed it and there's little I can do to change their minds; perhaps they felt I didn't celebrate Christmas often enough back home.
leggierissimo: (We're the best kind of worst people.)

[personal profile] leggierissimo 2013-01-01 07:54 am (UTC)(link)
[Oh, he has no doubt that they are. He's seen it firsthand.]

Hm. You're really that much of a Scrooge? What a shame.

[He knows the real reason, though. He overheard. Yes, he is a dirty cheater.]
suicidoll: (Kreutzer-flight)

[personal profile] suicidoll 2013-01-01 08:03 am (UTC)(link)
(But of course. After all, there was that whole Shibuya thing that took place some time ago.)

It's not as if I don't want to celebrate it; it's more due to a lack of proper company. After all, you're meant to do more than just exchange gifts with them.

(First clue right there since it's supposed to be all about friends and family and stuff. Not like it means much since he knows already)
leggierissimo: (My liver will kick you in the testicles.)

[personal profile] leggierissimo 2013-01-01 08:13 am (UTC)(link)
Well, different places do have different customs.

[Finally, he hops down off of his little perch on the rooftop, gliding down to the ground.]

But, I'm not quite sure you can really exchange gifts with a dog in the first place.
suicidoll: (Kreutzer-sad)

[personal profile] suicidoll 2013-01-01 08:25 am (UTC)(link)
(Ooh Josh, you're so graceful~

Ah, he already knows. Not like she told everyone about it, but she didn't try to keep it a secret either.
)

Not in the conventional way, no. It's much more...immaterial and not quite something that can be wrapped with a ribbon.

(Ignoring the fact that Kreutzer herself wears a hair ribbon at all times. She frowns.)

...I didn't have enough time to give it a name.
leggierissimo: (We're the best kind of worst people.)

[personal profile] leggierissimo 2013-01-01 08:34 am (UTC)(link)
[He tries~

For now, he opts to lean against the wall of the building, folding his arms across his stomach. It's only a dog, so it isn't really something too terribly important. Not in his eyes, anyway.]

At least we know now that animals apparently don't transfer with us. [Pause.] There isn't really anything stopping you from still giving it a name, I suppose.
suicidoll: (Kreutzer-pensive)

[personal profile] suicidoll 2013-01-01 09:01 am (UTC)(link)
(The dog meant a lot more to Kreutz than just being a pet. Kind of her first foray into being responsible for another/making a solid friend/other such cutesy things she lacked in her backstory. You know, the usual.)

I suppose...but it wouldn't feel quite right if I did so now. As strange as it may sound to ask a dog for its opinion on a name, I feel that would be the better option; I feel I would be lying if I didn't ask.
leggierissimo: (God I love incriminating evidence.)

[personal profile] leggierissimo 2013-01-01 09:17 am (UTC)(link)
[Learning these sort of social skills is a tiered program, really. Starting small, moving upward... Though typically, people learn these things in childhood.]

Well, there's always the chance to start over. Maybe with something that will actually be able to make the transfer, this time. [He means people, Kreutz.]
suicidoll: (Kreutzer-open arms)

[personal profile] suicidoll 2013-01-01 09:31 am (UTC)(link)
(But people are complicated ;_;

Typically yes, but sheltered children don't usually get the experience to match the knowledge. She's pretty much like that.
)

That narrows my options to those part of the Reaper's Game and the few RGers who are brought along. At the very least, therein lies possibility.

(And she even has a few friends! Granted, most of them aren't human, but it still counts. Still...)

Even then, I'm left reaching for faith. Not just for starting anew, but for the dog's well being...the best I could do was provide temporary shelter and food for three days after last week...today's the third day.
leggierissimo: (There's Nutella all over my phone.)

[personal profile] leggierissimo 2013-01-01 09:41 am (UTC)(link)
[Don't make him break out the tiny violins, he will not hesitate. :T

Don't worry, Kreutz. You're hardly the only sheltered child here.]

It's something, at least. Be glad you even have that - this Game is odd enough as it is.

I'm sure in a place that big, someone will take the dog in. People bring in strays all the time. [It's just a dog, though - he's never been much of a dog person. There has been one exception.] There isn't much sense in worrying when you have no way of doing anything about it.
