WEEK 3 DAY 3: MISSION

Mission: Spread holiday cheer to the town!
Time Limit: Long
Noise Plane: Solo
Wall Instructions: Neku, the Flutters, and Kreutzer are explicitly assigned to wall duty, other reapers may man key walls around town as desired. Wall-clearing requirements must involve cheering the reaper in question up somehow.
Wall Rewards: Whirlygig Juggle
Reaped Rewards: Aqua Ghost
Mission Rewards: Adamantite
Bonus Reward: Love Me Tether

[It seems this week's GM is pretty easy-going, as this is another simple mission... it seems that spirits are still somewhat down amidst the RG, to say nothing of the Reapers. Obviously, one or more of them need to be happy to clear the mission. But which ones?

Strangely, all phones will get a second mail a few minutes after the first, though it's a little different than the mission mail... it actually seems to be in a somewhat stylized script, and reads quite differently.]

While those in this Game are carrying out your mission, there is one grinch who seems to be quite intent on befouling the name of this town and perhaps all of Christmas! Perhaps if you could find it in your heart to spread a little Christmas cheer to that snakey soul, Santa might have an extra present for you!

[Well... ok then. Neku was supposed to be on wall duty, but it didn't matter where. And unfortunately, he sort of got the point after the mission. This was going to be fun...]

[Any players that scan near the town square might actually be able to hear a snowman. Sure, why not - after all, is it really any weirder than Santa being real?

Any RGers might be able to strike up conversation with the snowman, too - though he'll likely start out by saying the exact same thing.]

[Look! It's Spreading Christmas Cheer Ultimate Hard Mode! He's cruising around the playing field, looking for someone to troll attack harry. The idea behind this entire mission is rather vexing, and that second message has done nothing but make him more irritated with things than usual.

Playing harrier is his thing, so at least he's not running a wall somewhere and you're spared doing whatever he might decide would make him happy.]

(This...this is kind of embarrassing. Kreutzer was just fine with wall duty, but cheering her up? That's where things get weird. Oh well; not like she couldn't use a little cheer, anyway...)

[The Flutters might definitely need some cheering up. Between not being able to find Kreutzer's dog and not being able to get a sword, they might need it. Fluttercruel's manning the wall, and she's going to try to make cheering them up difficult.]

[Well this is perfect, there's a new girl running around the place with no idea what to do about this place. Don't mind her walking around and being all confused!]

[And while Kreutzer is stuck on wall duty? There's a snowball dropping from above, aimed right at the top of her head.]

[Fluttercruel looks over to the voice. Oh, it's Joshua. She sighs.]

[With this particular mission, Joshua isn't all that concerned with harrying Players. He's on harrying duty, yes, but that just means he's not tied to a wall. And it means he can watch these attempts at "spreading Christmas cheer".

For now, he's roaming the playing area and looking for anything interesting, half-eaten peppermint stick in hand. It isn't popcorn or sunflower seeds or anything like that, but it will do.]

...We couldn't find Kreutzer's bucking dog and I still don't have a sword.

I suppose animals don't make the transition with us. As for the sword... join the rest of us that don't have one.

[Fluttercruel just lays own on her stomach, facing away from Joshua. She didn't do any Reaper stuff the first 2 days of the week, and she can't continue on like that, so she's actually doing her job.]

I got assigned wall duty and only players can cheer us up. I even convinced, 'Shy to shut it so she doesn't cheer me up.

Wow. You sound like you're taking this fairly seriously.

Good thing I had no intention of cheering you up in the first place, then.

[Fluttercruel grunts in response to that. But really? She's heard that Santa Claus gives out presents to those that are nice. She's being nice the only way she knows how to: Being cruel to be kind. These challenges help out the players in the long run or so she thinks.]

Good. Now go away and let me do my bucking job.

[Unfortunately, Joshua doesn't much believe in that sort of thing. He's never been given a present, not even at home, and he doesn't particularly care, either. But, he's not stopping anyone else.]
