WEEK 3 DAY 3: MISSION
Mission: Spread holiday cheer to the town!
Time Limit: Long
Noise Plane: Solo
Wall Instructions: Neku, the Flutters, and Kreutzer are explicitly assigned to wall duty, other reapers may man key walls around town as desired. Wall-clearing requirements must involve cheering the reaper in question up somehow.
Wall Rewards: Whirlygig Juggle
Reaped Rewards: Aqua Ghost
Mission Rewards: Adamantite
Bonus Reward: Love Me Tether
[It seems this week's GM is pretty easy-going, as this is another simple mission... it seems that spirits are still somewhat down amidst the RG, to say nothing of the Reapers. Obviously, one or more of them need to be happy to clear the mission. But which ones?
Strangely, all phones will get a second mail a few minutes after the first, though it's a little different than the mission mail... it actually seems to be in a somewhat stylized script, and reads quite differently.]
While those in this Game are carrying out your mission, there is one grinch who seems to be quite intent on befouling the name of this town and perhaps all of Christmas! Perhaps if you could find it in your heart to spread a little Christmas cheer to that snakey soul, Santa might have an extra present for you!
Ho ho ho~!
[This... doesn't seem to be part of the mission, but is it a prank? Santa does live in town...]
[[OOC note: Just like W2D7, you get a secondary mission! It's not gonna be easy, though, and the Reaper in question definitely did NOT agree to such a thing...]]

...Was that really necessary?
no subject
Possibly.

(She brushes the last of the snow out of her hair. Damn cold...)
Well I suppose we're all meant to relax today, including their "grinch."

(You should be familiar with trolling, Kreutz; it's nothing new to you.)
no subject
[Whoever it is, he has to give them kudos for targeting a few Reapers in all of this. It makes it a little more fun.]
I wonder, just why would you need cheering up, anyway?
no subject
Telling him straight out won't be fun, so she'll just be indirect. You're a smart boy, Josh; you can figure it out
unless you already know you cheater)They felt I needed it and there's little I can do to change their minds; perhaps they felt I didn't celebrate Christmas often enough back home.
no subject
Hm. You're really that much of a Scrooge? What a shame.
[He knows the real reason, though. He overheard.
Yes, he is a dirty cheater.]no subject
It's not as if I don't want to celebrate it; it's more due to a lack of proper company. After all, you're meant to do more than just exchange gifts with them.
(First clue right there since it's supposed to be all about friends and family and stuff.
Not like it means much since he knows already)no subject
[Finally, he hops down off of his little perch on the rooftop, gliding down to the ground.]
But, I'm not quite sure you can really exchange gifts with a dog in the first place.
no subject
Ah, he already knows. Not like she told everyone about it, but she didn't try to keep it a secret either.)
Not in the conventional way, no. It's much more...immaterial and not quite something that can be wrapped with a ribbon.
(Ignoring the fact that Kreutzer herself wears a hair ribbon at all times. She frowns.)
...I didn't have enough time to give it a name.
no subject
For now, he opts to lean against the wall of the building, folding his arms across his stomach. It's only a dog, so it isn't really something too terribly important. Not in his eyes, anyway.]
At least we know now that animals apparently don't transfer with us. [Pause.] There isn't really anything stopping you from still giving it a name, I suppose.

Excuse me, miss? Is there something I need to do to lower this wall?
no subject
Yes...the mission involves spreading cheer throughout the town, doesn't it? To clear this wall...you must do the same for me.
no subject
H'm...is there anything in particular that's troubling you?
no subject
(The answer is yes, but she's not gonna mention specifics. Just the regular dancing around the issue because she really, really doesn't want to discuss that.)
...What are your views on faith?
no subject
[Either way, this could be an interesting discussion.]
no subject
(Yup, it's got some good potential.)
no subject
It certainly isn't something to be given blindly. There are just as many throughout the universe who wish to crush others under their boot as there are those who truly wish to help those around them. Which is which may not be readily apparent, either.
But if faith is earned, bit by bit over time, it's something that should be deeply treasured by all involved.
no subject
What's to keep faith separate from mere wishful thinking? What's keeping faith from being anything more than hoping something goes your way? Wishing for a particular outcome, for example.
no subject
Faith backed by experience is the most likely to be rewarded with the desired outcome, I think.

Whether or not it's worth the effort to try is up to the person who lost it.
