Noise Plane: Solo
Wall Instructions: Key walls around Yotsuya-sanchome area.
Wall Rewards: Blink Step, 500 yen
Reaped Rewards: Fiery Spirit, Spirited Fire, Rare Metal
Mission Rewards: 500 yen

[Scanning the area, a little girl is thinking fondly about a recent trip to Shinjuku's Fire Museum. It seems they have a red helicopter on a floor of the building...]



[.... But how can you get it to fly? The controls are locked, so you'll have to find another way.]

[welp, he saw a lot of weird shit in Bete Noire. Hell, even at home! But this?

This took the cake. He shakes his head and tries to... just communicate normally. Without staring.

That's proving to be difficult]

I'm uh... I'm a Reaper. [he spreads his wings wide] See?

Then I am pleased to have guessed right.
Would you summon Noise? I need a fight.

[Ichigo holds up his hands] Woah woah. Hold up. [uncurling his tail from the pole, he hops down, using his wings to slow his descent]

You want me to sic Noise on you? If you want a fight, why don't you just scan for Noise?

[zebrarhyme_everytime]

[Zecora's thought this through after her encounter with the Wall Reapons. Whatever they might have said, she knows that Reapers reward Players for fighting.]

If I fight randomly, I will swiftly tire.
But from you I can get the Pin I desire.

[time for some confusion all around]

I hate to break it to you, but I don't have any Pins to give out today. What are you looking for?

The trader has Pins displayed
That require a Rare Metal trade.

[tamedhollow]

Rare Metal? [Ichigo frowns. He's heard of those] Noise drop those, I think. Like the money pins.

[zebrarhyme_everytime]

Then fighting them will earn that Pin?
I'm all the more eager to begin!

Alright, alright! Geez. I never thought a Player would ask me to set Noise on them...

[Ichigo flies back up to his perch on the lamp post (not very well; he's still getting a hang of these wings) and then pulls out a couple of Noise pins.

Here, Zecora. Think you can handle a few Bigbanfrogs and a swarm of Happycore Bats? The bubbles those frogs blow look harmless, but they explode on impact, and those bats have a nasty tendency of sucking out your life force.

Don't mind Ichigo's staring. He's curious how a talking zebra fights.]

[The talking zebra fights with pins -- two of them, in this case. She stays at a distance, channeling Eyes Full of Hope to burn them down. When they get close, she relies on her speed as an ungulate to outrun them, nimbly dashing around them with a bright smile on her face.]

[Ichigo just watches. Eyes Full Of Light has a good psych for the slow moving Bigbanfrogs, but the Bats are flying around quite a bit, and erratically to boot. Something with a little less focus time, perhaps...

One of the remaining bats swoops down and latches on to Zecora's flank. WHAT NOW?]

[zebrarhyme_everytime]

[What now? Cursing in Zebra, which sounds vaguely like Swahili, before she takes advantage of the fact that the bat is no longer moving to fry it off with a focused beam.]

[Then she deploys her second pin: Croc Leisure. As the wound in her flank heals, she turns her attention back to the other bat, cantering around it in broad circles till Eyes reboots.]

[the frogs are slain, though some of their bubbles still remain. The remaining bat eyes Zecora with a strange sort of hunger in those empty eyes, flittering to and fro before swooping down]

[zebrarhyme_everytime]

[She rears up, striking at the bat with her forehooves -- not out of any expectation that it will take harm, but simply to discourage it from biting. Just biding her time until...]

[Pin reboot! She narrows her eyes and focuses light at the bat.]

[tamedhollow]

[Noise aren't particularly smart. The bat doesn't even see the threat in Zecora's sharp hooves, and takes the hit. Like a normal bat, it's a fairly light, delicate creature, and it goes sailing back, then lands on the ground with a few light thumps. Stunned, it can't manage to get airborne again before the focused light attack engulfs it and reduces it back to Soul particles.

It dissolves into static like the rest, but the static resolves itself into a Pin. Brown, with orangey-yellow squares. Nearby are some yen pins as well; a 100 and a 10.

Ichigo narrows his eyes at the pin]

Is that the one you were angling for?

[zebrarhyme_everytime]

[She swiftly scoops the pins up with a swipe of her hoof, smiling.]

The Rare Metal pin is what I sought
Thank you for the Noise I fought.
Now the mission can be won
And another day is done.

Hold on a second, there. Your timer still has plenty left on it. How the heck does that pin have anything to do with making a grounded helicopter fly?

[Yesterday's mission was easy to figure out, but Ichigo is just stumped on this one]

[zebrarhyme_everytime]

Have you seen what the Pin Trader has to trade?
On seeing that, my plan was made.
Simply use your imagination
When I tell you there's a pin for object levitation.

Pin trader? ... Oh, that girl. [he frowned] I don't use pins to fight, so I didn't look.

[he blinks, thinking about it... then grins] Wow! That's actually a pretty clever solution. [and a zebra came up with it.

What a world]

[zebrarhyme_everytime]

[Hey! Why can't a zebra come up with it?]

Would you care to come and see if I succeed?
I' m not certain, but I think I have good chances indeed.

[BECAUSE ZEBRAS, THAT'S WHY]

[Ichigo looks down at his phone, where a mission timer ticked down. Still lots of time left. And if Zecora does it... the day is over.]

... Sure, I've got time. I'll come watch. [he jumps down again, tucking his phone and his hands into the front pocket of his hoodie]

[zebrarhyme_everytime]

[Good, because Zecora's mission timer, while certainly not inaccessible, is certainly inconvenient. One might almost believe that the Reaper's game wasn't designed for ungulates.]

[She turns and trots off, checking behind her to make sure his speed, ground or air, is enough to keep him apace with her.]

[Wow, Zecora, whatever gave you that idea.

Ichigo drops to the ground, but easily keeps up with her. A normal human he is not, in both looks and abilities, and he moves more like a therapod than a person.]

[zebrarhyme_everytime]

[She certainly isn't familiar enough with humans to identify that as strange. Not what she's used to from the others she's briefly know, but who's she to judge?]

[Reaching the museum is a simple manner, and soon enough Zecora makes her way to the helicopter -- which is a device she is, at least, a little familiar with thanks to her friendship with one Pinkie Pie.]

[Ichigo follows, easily keeping pace with the small equine, until they reach the museum. Ichigo is never weirded out by people just... not noticing him. He's used to it. It's normal. He wonders how the Players feel, sometimes. Being invisible. How many of them had experience being spirits?

Not many, by the look of it.]

Make the helicopter fly. [Ichigo folds his arms] Well, let's see it.
