WEEK 4 DAY 2: MISSION

Mission: Clear noise from all stations.
Time Limit: Long
Noise Plane: Duet
Wall Instructions: Place walls throughout the city. Seal off the school and the dorm.
Wall Rewards: Konohana Sakuya
Reaped Rewards: N/A. Due to the nature of today's mission, the Reapers have been ordered to keep their hands (and their noise) off the Players.
Mission Rewards: Purity Launcher

[Today's mission appears simple on the surface, but it's curious, isn't it? Clearing noise entirely from an area will require a lot of fighting, and just like the first day... pacts. Furthermore, what do they mean by "all stations?" Well, when the Players arrived in town, there was certainly a train station or two...]

I've been strong enough to erase them, Pins or no Pins.

[He really, really hates having to use Noise instead of his own monsters...or his own fists. And anything he doesn't like? He thinks it's automatically weak.]

This entire thread has reduced me to varying levels of incoherence...

[At least Asakura has finally figured it out. Not that this helps. In fact, it only makes it worse.]

[Asakura, no, ambiguous threats are bad. Not like he's had any luck otherwise. Surely there's got to be some idiot with his phone around here somewhere. He's once more flying low over the city, trying to see if he can find the culprit.]

If those Pins were truly weak, none of them would be left. They have a certain amount of strength.

[Ryoji pauses for a moment to send his text, and he's actually out in the middle of the street. If Asakura is paying attention, he might notice the flash of his cell phone's screen as the teenager flips it shut and jogs off again.]

The ones that are left are just extra vexing...but I'll win in the end.

[Asakura catches it, quickens his pace, and starts following the teenager more closely. He's recognized Ryoji now, and he's starting to put two and two together. He'll send another text, just to make sure that this is in fact his phone. He wants to catch Ryoji in the act.]

Why don't I show you in person? Have some soap handy when I find you.

And now I'm sobbing in fear.

[Ryoji flips open the phone again, immediately after Asakura sends the text. If he has time to send a reply, he'll write this and send it:]

But that's not romantic at all! I may want you to go rough, but I'm not into that kind of roleplay!

[Either way, he's caught in the act. Will Asakura catch him now?]

[Busted, Ryoji. Asakura reads that text and growls. He steps into Ryoji's path and pops back into the RG.]

So you didn't bring the soap?

[Said with equal parts hatred and sarcasm. At least he's not interested in actually giving Ryoji any sort of soap-related demonstration.]

[Ryoji jusmps, as any normal person would when faced with a human who materialized out of thin air, but once he recognizes Asakura, he smirks.]

Sorry, but I wanted to do this face to face.

[Will this conversation ever stop being filled with innuendo?]

[Asakura is not happy with you, Ryoji. Not in the least. This vexed expression is not his happy face. He's walking towards Ryoji with body language that strongly suggests he's going to try something violent.]

You better make it quick.

[As soon as he gets close enough, he'll try to punch Ryoji so he can get revenge his phone back.]

[He won't even make a move to attack Asakura first, or even dodge the attack. He takes the hit, straight in the gut, and the force is enough to make him double over. He keeps a firm hold on the phone, though, and when he speaks after coughing a few times, Asakura will find out why.]

I-I'll give this to you, but I have one more request.

And then? You will simply have a new Game to endure, with new Players. A neverending cycle.

As long as I get to keep fighting, I don't care if it never ends. If I can't fight, then I just get vexed.

[Asakura's quite surprised Ryoji made absolutely no move to dodge or break his hand or one of the usual responses. At least the surprise has stopped him from trying to hit Ryoji again.]

And why would I grant a request of yours?

I expect you will be opposed to its end, then. Luckily for you, you will be dispatched along with the others.

Dispatched? Me? I'm not going anywhere.

[He only died because he was vexed enough to want to at that point...]

Trust me. This is one that you'd want to hear.

[After a long moment, Ryoji straightens, holding his stomach with one arm while the other reaches out. There's a bright flash, and the blade that Thanatos usually carries is in his hands. He holds it out to Asakura.]

I want you to take this and kill me.

[Asakura gladly starts to reach for that sword, but then he stops. SOMETHING IS VERY WRONG HERE.]

...what are you trying to pull? You want back into the Game, is that it?

Maybe I do. The important thing is that I can't live any longer.

[And he certainly doesn't want to keep living. But he doesn't exactly want to be in the Game, either. That's too risky.]

This world will be swept clear of everyone. Humans most particularly, but nothing shall stand except what I allow to. You will simply be one of the first.

[He is suspicious. So suspicious. He's even looking around the area, like he thinks someone's watching. He knows how sting operations work, Ryoji.]

[He's scanning the area for a makeshift weapon. He'd gotten in trouble for fighting RG-ers, not other Reapers...]

[Such is Mewtwo's confidence that a pipe wrenches itself from the side of a building, dropping down to clatter near Asakura.]

[Asakura grins at the pipe. It's a perfect weapon; he's always enjoyed beating people with such things.]

[He has no idea what he's gotten himself into, and he's radiating overconfidence.]
