[This is the vaguest mystery ever. But, scan around and one thing will become apparent. Even if the second day was spent entirely clearing noise from the area, they're all back in full force, and they seem to be possessing more people than usual. These people have feelings of hopelessness, apathy and death. But just scanning them doesn't seem to give the answers why. If the mission can believed, this is not something the Reapers have done, but something to do with the world itself. Surely someone must know the truth....]

Rin-chan... Hi. What are you doing here? Shouldn't you have a mission by now?

[Not that he minds the company. Almost all of the other RGers have been depressed, and he hasn't even trusted himself to talk to his old friends. Ryoji's only chance at conversation lately has been with the few people in the Game that he can still see.]

I don't think it has to do with the Game only. The mission is, "Ascertain the world's circumstance." It could really be anything.

Although, there really are a lot of noise. The last time I saw a big swarm of noise, they were sticking to the Snowman who was depressed... I'm wondering if it might be that kind of problem. ♪

[That feeling was correct then. Ryoji looks away from Rin as he responds to her concerns, unsure of how to go about saying what needs to be said.]

[Rin blinks. She didn't expect him to already have an idea. She thinks briefly, then says]

This world has so much negativity because most of the people in it are wishing for death. They're frustrated with all the suffering in the world, and they believe the best way to deal with it would be to start with a completely clean slate.
