WEEK 2 DAY 4: MISSION
Mission: "Be as the morning sun and chase away this cursed night."
Time Limit: Long
Noise Plane: Solo
Wall Instructions: None in particular, do as you see fit.
Wall Rewards: Thanx
Reaped Rewards: Onmyo
Mission Rewards: Scarletite

[The RGers from before are a chief cause for concern. Namely, whatever's tormenting them has not gone away, and their mental anguish has started to attract noise to them. And yet, as their moods have gone south from possession, they don't look lost like before. It's as though through the despair, they've found a certain clarity... one that shows when they look out at the rest of the world.
Yet, a couple of them are okay? Well, it seems that one was not persuaded to be interested in the trends, and the other decided to leave the mall early for some reason. Since they're okay, hopefully you won't have to worry about them.]

...oh fucking hell. You can't be serious. He almost doesn't want to approach, but he has no other choice. He should be happy to see his brother (and to a certain extent, he is), but seeing him here means he died as well. With those wings on his back, however, the situation is made much less joyful. Hesitantly, he approaches.)
...Sabata?
no subject
but here he was anyways, dead like everyone else. it figures their lives would decide to troll them, doesn't it?]
...Django. You're here too.
no subject
That doesn't make him any more comfortable with the idea, though.)
Yeah...but we have to go back. Who will stop Vanargand if not us?
no subject
[he puts a hand to his head because the thought crossed his mind that Carmilla was now alone watching the Seal...
arg, this was a mess. one Sabata was not up to dealing with right now. they really could have given a guy a break before tossing him into the Game, Player or not, Reaper or not.]
It's fine back home...how did you die?
[because last he remembered, you were still alive and kicking.]
no subject
...I was fighting Vanargand. I did everything I could to fight it off without hurting you. Somehow I did...but it wasn't enough. I had to lead it into open sunlight so it could turn completely to stone. I transformed to try and weaken it, but I grew so weak myself, I can't remember what happened next.
And just like that? I'm here.
(And he is absolutely not happy about it. Can't you tell?)
no subject
That's not...how it went.
[can you tell you're not going to like this?]
no subject
...it went differently for you?
no subject
[he takes a deep breath. Sabata knew there was no point in hiding or lying about it, but it kind of figures that the first time he didn't want to be the bearer of bad news it had to be over the topic of his death.]
I...I didn't survive. I'm here because I died during the fight with Vanargand.
[so there you have it.]
no subject
(Django holds his expression, but it's very, very clear how unwelcome he is to the idea. That's not what he fought for; yes, he wanted to save the world, but he was willing to defy impossibility and save his brother from his fate...and he did.
Well, at least he did in Django's timeline.)
...that can't be right. That can't...I fought so hard to save you...
no subject
[why of all times could he not apologize? it had been his fault, after all. they said that death was the only cure for stupidity and it was working well on Sabata right now. but...]
...I'm sorry.
no subject
It's not your fault...I didn't try hard enough. So this time? I'm going to give it extra effort. For both of us.
no subject
[but he wanted to move on...for many reasons.]
What is this place. I wasn't paying attention...

...It's the afterlife. They call this the Reaper's Game. The dead come here and fight for their lives. Supposedly, surviving the entire week means you can come back to life, but I've heard from last week's players that they don't fulfill their end of the agreement.
