WEEK 2 DAY 5: MISSION

Time Limit: Medium
Noise Plane: Solo
Wall Instructions: Key walls around the church, other walls as you see fit. Do not use Noise as a wall clearing condition. Harriers may still attack players with Noise.
Wall Rewards: Tin Pin Thrift
Reaped Rewards: Lovely Beam
Mission Rewards: Black Rose



[Well. Nobody did erase the GM last week, did they? Even if they did, she obviously had some trick up her sleeve, as she's definitely skulking around town... in several places, even. She's obviously been demoted, as well, judging by the scowl on her face. She doesn't seem to be harrying today - another reason for the scowl, judging by how aggressive she was at the end of last week. The reapers have a strange set of instructions as well - obviously, the goal to this mission isn't combatative.

And what's with guarding the church? There's nothing of note there.]

[They might not have Erased the GM, but Sasuke and Zecora's continued existence proves who came out the better in their fight. And speaking of the zebra, she's back in action today, with as much spring in her step as a Player can have, and all fired up for action.]

[Right now, she's scouting, keen to find both Walls and Reapers to challenge, and the Hydra that seems to possess the victory item.]

[Despite the mission being more passive than aggressive today, Joshua isn't letting up in his harrying. Walls are far too boring, especially when defeating Noise isn't allowed as a clearing condition and the area is a bit too foreign still to do anything constructive with. Even with what he's managed to learn about this area on his own, he'd rather be a harrier. There aren't any points to be gained while manning a wall.

Though, currently, he isn't actually out actively harrying anyone. Instead, he's sitting on the back of a bench, feet on the seat, thoroughly engrossed in something he's typing out on his phone.]

['Sup Josh. Neku didn't see you yesterday, so he might have made a point to find you today. No he's not worried after Mr. H and Rhyme vanishing, why would you think that.

Anyway, he walks up with a frown, seeing how intently Joshua is typing.]

...If you drop a vending machine on me, I'm gonna be pissed. [It's... sort of a joke. But he would be pissed.]

[Neku is Harrying again today- the wall instructions are weird, so naturally he wants to find out what's up with that. And he can't do that by sitting still.

He... feels a little bad from not being able to help out Seeker and some of the other RGers yesterday, so forgive him if he looks a little more emo than normal. If you can even tell.]

[Ichigo is sitting on a lamp post, grinning. Yesterday had gone well. Surprisingly well, actually. So today, he's in a good mood. He gives Zecora a wave]

I see you're feeling better today, Zecora-san!

[Ichigo is doing a little of both. They didn't save everyone... but they saved MOST of them. And that wasn't too bad, right? He has to focus on the positives.]

Oi, Neku. What's wrong?

[Positive? What's that?]

Just... kind of thinking about yesterday. Still pissed that that was even a mission.

[Aww, Neku. He's touched that you care. Or he would be, if he could read your mind. Details.

Joshua finishes what he's typing, presses a button and clears out of his notes. Neku's comment brings a slight smirk, though, and he closes the phone with a 'clack!'.]

If I were going to crush you beneath a vending machine, wouldn't I have done it before now?

[Fine, fine, do as you wish~] Not manning a wall today?

No. The instructions don't make sense. [Meaning he's investigating.]

[Maybe he was getting noticed, as a reaper. Far more likely, though, was that they wanted someone here who wouldn't ask questions.

Grovyle knew better, after all - it wasn't his business. He was part of a bigger picture, and unlike the others who had been forced into the game, he knew that things had to keep going or else something would end up falling apart.

So Grovyle has a single job, a 'special mission' as they called it. Keep guard over this out-of-place key-wall - a tunnel in the base of the church's foundations itself. He was allowed to ignore the normal 'instructions' of the day, though they never actually said he HAD to.

Who knows, maybe there's some way to convince the pokemon to let you past. But why WOULD you? It's out of the way... surely it has nothing to do with the mission. Is it worth coming all the way out here just to sate your curiosity?]

[Ryoji grins when he sees her from the Wall he's set up, waving excitedly.]

Zecora-chan! You're okay! I was looking for you yesterday.

[notsogrimreaper]

[Well, what would be the chances of anyone actually seeing what Joshua is clacking out with those keys? Ryoji hopes it's a good chance. What started as an innocent trip to grab lunch to take back to his Wall has turned into creeping closer to Joshua's seat, craning his neck to try to get a better look. You can practically hear Mission Impossible playing in the background.]

[Another day, another Wall manned by everyone's favorite derpy Reaper!

Ryoji will be manning one just before the church's main entrance, but he'll also be keeping an eye out for anyone he knows. If it's an RGer (especially Michiru), a Player that helped out, or even a Reaper that didn't try to Harry the players, he'll probably run over to check and make sure the vampirism has been eliminated. Maybe go and buy them a cupcake too.]

[Excellent.] So glad I wasn't the only one that noticed.

[... nope! So sorry, Ryoji, but that phone is closing. Fairly quickly, really. It's almost like he noticed you or something.]

Any idea what the mission means?

Yeah... same. But it's over now. Pretty much everyone is back to normal... and if we see any more people acting weird, there's no reason we can't yank their pins, right? [he scratches his chin thoughtfully] I'm more surprised that we didn't get chewed out for it...

We might still have it coming. [he wouldn't put it past them.] But this thing is chaotic enough they might not have noticed.

... We were pretty blatant. They probably would have noticed. Unless they just weren't looking. [he frowns] Then again, everything is weird. What the hell does today's mission mean anyway?

Oh, um... well, nothing really! Just was trying to play a little trick on you, heh.

[He is so completely innocent. Really. Just harmless pranks!]

I have no goddamn clue. [Being the pin nerd he is, he knows Black Rose is a name of a pin... but it could easily just be a black rose.]

[Ryoji spots his fellow Reaper-one he hopes to call friend-from the Wall he's manning, but he rushes over to check on him anyways.

That talk they had about Ryoji doing his job? Yeah, he didn't listen.]

And no Noise for wall requirements. So what are we supposed to make them do? Stand on one leg and hop up and down? Sing a little song, maybe? Ugh. I'm sick of this hands-off approach that the bosses take.
