[Things appear to have settled down from the previous days. No more gallivanting ex-GMs, no more strange displays of brainwashing or secret tunnels. Everything is, supposedly, back to order. And yet, judging by the mission, not all is right. Whatever it is, it's up to the Players to fix it. Why not look around and see what this severed thing is? The answer may not be too surprising, to those paying attention.]

[Asakura just stares for a moment, then throws his head back and laughs. It is the best laugh he has had in a long time. Perhaps the pony isn't as vexing as he initially thought.]

[There's a purple flicker in a window somewhere behind Asakura. Anything in mirrors or reflective surfaces in his vicinity is really not a good sign...but he's behaving for now.]

Fluttershy's words go unheeded as 'Cruel continues to prove just how much more hardcore they are than some spoiled brat.]

I've died and fought my way alive again before all this. This makes it my second time. How many times have you died?

I was good enough to only go once--but I wasn't unfamiliar with death, not when I sent so many others to theirs before me.

[A giant purple cobra has become very distinct in a window behind Asakura. Asakura has also withdrawn a small purple box from a pocket.]

If you're as tough as you say you are, why not put your money where your mouth is?

[Fluttercruel flies into the air, agitated and with a sadistic grin.]

It'll be my pleasure!

[Fluttershy, on the other hand, has something to say about all this, so Fluttercruel transforms back into Fluttershy.]

Wait! ...I'm so terribly sorry about Fluttercruel's behavior.

[Hey! I was just about to kick his head off!]

Perhaps we can solve this peacefully...?

[Perhaps the only thing stopping Asakura from going and doing something the pony might regret is the strangeness of the personality shifts. He's still a bit curious there, and that's keeping him from doing anything rash...though he hasn't dismissed the giant snake in the window.]

...you're really starting to vex me. Do I look like a peaceful man?

Um. Sorry... B- but maybe you can be peaceful just this once...?

[Fluttershy gives off a sweet and slightly nervous smile. Fluttercruel just wants to beat the shit out of the jackass.]

[Fluttercruel's got the right idea--Asakura's never been much for peaceful compromise.]

That's not going to happen.

[He'll lunge at her, but come up short before he can actually do anything. At this point, he's just trying to scare her to see what sort of reaction he gets.]

[Fluttershy stumbles back, falling over on her back with her wings outstretched. Where did that goat bleat sound come from?]

(Here have a fellow reaper coming in to cut this short. She's folding her arms and not looking too thrilled.)

If you're going to harass someone, make yourself useful and save it for the players.

[Asakura lazily turns to face the newcomer.]

The players so far have been boring. It's rather vexing.

Besides, what benefit is there to having such a weak Reaper?

[Fluttershy slowly picks herself up of the ground, not interrupting the conversation between Kreuter and Asakura.]

What benefit is there to turning against an ally? It will do you no favors and will certainly draw negative attention from those higher up.

To underestimate others is to dig your own grave; that applies to both Players and Reapers. Have you even stopped to witness her capabilities?

[He is...not a team player, not by a long shot. Asakura doesn't appear at all worried about negative attention from the higher ups.]

Tch. She's a tiny talking horse. What could she possibly be able to do in this game?

[Fluttershy turns into Fluttercruel. She can't stand being silent when this asshole is spewing dragon fewmets.]

Why don't you sit down and find out like a good little baby?

Hasn't anyone ever taught you not to judge based on appearances? Relying only on your eyes will only make you an easy target.

Perhaps you should hold your tongue until after you see her capabilities for yourself? Until then, you'll be better off keeping Schrodinger's experiment in mind.

[Pony, you're lucky Asakura didn't take a swing at you after that. He twitches in a manner that suggests he's strongly considering it, but he manages to restrain himself. Barely.]

Hurry up and impress me, then. I'm becoming rather vexed.

[As if in emphasis, the image of the giant snake in the window behind him hisses loudly.]

(Her attention is undivided, but Kreutzer refrains from adding anything to the conversation; she knows Fluttercruel can handle herself.)

"Please?!"

[Not like he's saying that like he means it; he's just repeating it in disbelief. Yeah, it's time to show them just how annoyed he's getting.]

I've had enough of this...

[Asakura is now lunging at Fluttercruel like the mentally unbalanced violent man that he is.]

[And this is when it happens. There's something The Flutters have which CAN'T be done at will. And it's pretty badass. To Asakura, it's probably one of the most intimidating things he's ever seen, given he's on the receiving end of it. This thing can probably even defeat an army hellbent on destroying the universe. And that thing is...

The Stare.]

(Well now, this is interesting. Kreutzer definitely didn't see this look before. Perhaps because the situation didn't call for it.

It's for the best that she's on Cruelly's side and not on the receiving end of The Stare. That's a sort of look you give someone when murder becomes a preferred option.)

[Asakura stops dead in his tracks. Just...that...that should not BE. He's actually taking a couple of steps back.

That giant menacing snake behind him? The one in the window? It's bailed.]

[Fluttercruel's still doing the stare, and flutters to a few inches in front of the jackass's face.]

You think you can just come around, insult me and 'Shy, and brush it off like it's nothing!? You seriously you think you can get away with all that belittling? Guess what? It' not gonna fly with me!
