Noise Plane: Duet
Wall Instructions: Place walls throughout the city. Seal off the school and the dorm.
Wall Rewards: Konohana Sakuya
Reaped Rewards: N/A. Due to the nature of today's mission, the Reapers have been ordered to keep their hands (and their noise) off the Players.
Mission Rewards: Purity Launcher

[Today's mission appears simple on the surface, but it's curious, isn't it? Clearing noise entirely from an area will require a lot of fighting, and just like the first day... pacts. Furthermore, what do they mean by "all stations?" Well, when the Players arrived in town, there was certainly a train station or two...]

[An irritated Mewtwo is standing by a wall outside the train station. Do you really, really want to try to get past him with the way he's almost twitching?]

[There's another irritated Reaper in the area, although he just seems to be looking for something. He'd like to find his phone before putting up a wall of his own somewhere, and sitting still for too long vexes him.

He does, however, notice the angry cat-thing manning that wall.]

...what the hell are you supposed to be?

[A fellow Reaper?]

[Perfect. The rules do not forbid Reapers having less than pleasant interactions...]

Mewtwo. I am the strongest Pokémon. And the strongest Reaper.

[vexed_snake]

[Less than pleasant interactions, you say? Such is Asakura's life.

Too bad for him he's still being punished over last week's Day 6 and doesn't have any of his powers available to him. He doesn't seem to like that voice in his head at all.]

And what makes you so sure you're the strongest?

[Even though he is totally powerless right now, he still finds that comment vexing enough for a bit of aggressive posturing.]

I was created that way.

[He might be a little bitter over that.]

The proof will be in the demonstration.

[vexed_snake]

"Created...?"

[Well, now he's confused. And that's vexing. But maybe he'll have a chance to work out some of those vexations.]

Are you threatening me?

[He actually sounds amused at that, and his body language has shifted in a way that suggests he's anticipating a fight. Mental demonstration or physical demonstration, you're clear for whatever.]

I have no need to threaten. I am stating fact. At the end of this Game, I shall be proven superior.

[vexed_snake]

[Superiority from a...Mirror Monster cat-thing? Asakura doesn't appear to be impressed.]

And what makes you so sure that's fact?

That is my destiny. My purpose. To be superior.

[vexed_snake]

[Asakura snorts derisively.]

And yet you're dead and here with the rest of us. Some purpose.

The living are not part of the Reaper's Game. They cannot gain the strength of the Composer.

[vexed_snake]

You think they'd actually let you gain any power that way?

They've got more power over you than you realize--they're not in the business of giving anyone more.

[He's still bitter over his Deck getting taken from him.]

[andwesucceeded]

Of course not. Power must be taken.

[vexed_snake]

[That, Asakura can understand.]

You don't look like you're strong enough to do that.

[andwesucceeded]

You believe looks are the best judge of strength?

[vexed_snake]

Not where weapons are concerned.

[Because he's done so much wonderful damage with what looks like a small plastic box...]

But you're small for a Mirror Monster.

[But Mirror Monsters don't talk, either, telepathically or otherwise.]

Mirror Monster? I am no such thing. Are they the creatures you employ?

[vexed_snake]

They are.

[He's not even going to bother to ask how Mewtwo knows he uses creatures to assist him in his dirty work. He figures word of him has gotten around.]

So what are you, then?

[andwesucceeded]

I am a Pokémon. A cloned Pokémon, created from the genetic remains of Mew. Created to be stronger than Mew.

[vexed_snake]

If that Mew's still alive, then I don't think the procedure was a success.

[andwesucceeded]

'Mew' was a mere fossil, from which DNA was extracted and modified. If Mew ever shows itself, I will prove which of us is superior.

[vexed_snake]

So you're just going to sit around and wait in the afterlife for some specific other dead thing to come through here so you can defeat it? Sounds vexing.

[andwesucceeded]

You seem to delight in deliberate misinterpretations. Humankind... a sad race.

Tch. The only thing I delight in is fighting. Otherwise, I'm vexed.

[Pause.]

And at least I have thumbs.

[Truly opposeable thumbs are the apex of evolutionary perfection.]

At least you have something you can take misplaced pride in.

[Mewtwo smirks. He's getting just a bit more superior enjoyment out of baiting this human than he really ought to.]
