WEEK 4 DAY 3: MISSION

Mission: "Proliferate the feeling of courage."
Time Limit: Very Long
Noise Plane: Duet
Wall Instructions: No key walls; create walls at your own discretion. Seal off the school and dorm.
Wall Rewards: Voucher for a free mystery burger at Wild-Duck.
Reaped Rewards: Lolita Mic
Mission Rewards: 5000 yen

[This mission might seem confusing at first, although if you scan the crowds, in their minds certain keywords will crop up relating to having or testing one's courage. "Burger", "Karaoke", and "Horror House" are among them, the latter of which is apparently a game at the arcade. There also seems to be a war movie playing at the theater, or perhaps you have your own ideas about courage? Either way, there's a lot of options, but it seems that just doing one of them by yourself isn't enough. Somehow, it has to be shared by as many people as possible...]

[KAITO jumps again, then waving his hands at his face.]

No! Don't make a hole in my box! No one will notice if you just keep quiet!

[Telling Asakura not to do something is a bad idea--it usually just spurs him on. Like now. He kicks the box again.]

I've never been very good at keeping quiet...

[But an idea occurs to him.]

What's it worth to you?

[KAITO jolts again.]

I said don't--! Ah, you won't listen anyway.

Don't you know what is 'ambush'? That's my plan!

Oh, is that what it was?

[He kicks the box again, just because KAITO's obvious discomfiture is far more amusing than anything else he's dealt with all day...and he is indeed terrible at listening.]

That was a terrible attempt at an ambush, anyway.

[KAITO would cry all day if he keeps kicking the box.]

If only you didn't find me here in the first place! I've seen this trick a lot in the TV, and I'm very sure it's still work to do this attempt.

[Now shoo you, rude Reaper. Go find some toys to play with.]

[Then Asakura would feed off of the tears.]

...you really believe everything you see on TV?

[But he's found a toy to play with! He'll kick the box yet again for emphasis.]

[That made KAITO stands up from the hiding spot, whimpering.]

I believe they're always work in real life! Don't you even watch action movies?!

[The whimper has no effect on Asakura's behavior and only serves to egg him on.]

Watching them is boring when I could be out there doing those sorts of things myself.

But that is how you learn! Look, even this tiny bit a copy from the movie could make a small progression.

[Yep, goes back in the box and pretend nothing happens.]

Everything I know, I learned by doing.

[KAITO's back in the box? Asakura is giving it a kick again.]

You're an idiot.

[Pops his head out from the box.]

For one last time, don't kick the box!

Everybody did call me an idiot, but I'm the smartest. Well, I gonna find another hiding spot since you ruined this one.

What are you going to do about it?

[Asakura kicks the box even more aggressively this time.]

You're not even the smartest idiot around here.

Well I can 'think'!

Now you can continue kicking the box, while I look for some place to hide.

[Geez why he keeps ruin his day? KAITO hops out of the box and looks around to find another hiding spot. Since he put the wall there, he doesn't think he could hide somewhere far.]

At least you can't find a spot worse than this.

[That box is getting drop kicked across the street for good measure before Asakura laughs and walks away. Being a horrible troll is one of the very few things that makes him happy, after all.]

[Apparently. KAITO doesn't like his hiding place getting spotted. He hides himself in the empty trash bin and closes the lid.

Yup! This is perfect. No one will find him here. Although it's a little stinky but it's worthy. Except his scarf is visible at the top of the trash bin.]

[...no, there's no way Asakura can pass this opportunity up. He casually (and quietly) approaches the trash can, and then, without saying anything to announce his presence, gives the can a good, solid kick.]

[KAITO thought he would escape from the guy who messed up with him. Unfortunately, he was wrong.

The loud bang echoes in the trash can, causing KAITO to jump hysterically. He carelessly moves himself in general directions as he tries to find his way out, including crying in terror.]

Ambush! Ambush!!

[It takes awhile before the can finally falls off, revealing the blue robot face plant on the ground.]

...You again!

Your hiding spot's still terrible.

[Asakura is having way too much fun with this.]

Well teach me right, Mr. Obvious. All you know is to talk.

[He's just looking disgusted now.]

You'd need somewhere you could jump from to attack quickly if you had to--there's no way you could have done anything other than fall on your face from in there.

But this [Lightly kicks the trash can.] actually works. Very light, portable, hiding spot where you can jump right away to make an attack.

Except you once again ruined it by surprising me.

Do you really think the Players are going to cooperate and not surprise you?

They will find me, but in more professional way! The best way to ambush them and they'll not underestimate me!

Professional? It doesn't get more professional than me--I did this sort of thing all the time for a living back home.

[...Asakura, no, you're a murderer who spent a lot of time on the run from the law. Don't act like it was a normal job.]

You did, huh? Did it worked?

[He meant the ambush with those kind of method.]
