Wall Instructions: Key wall in front of Nishi-Shinjuku. Objective to be met is appropriate dress.

Mission Rewards: 10,000 yen



["Tocho" is a nickname that refers to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, which has two panoramic observation decks. It shouldn't be hard to get there, but what awaits when you arrive?]

Messages? Can't say I got any of those. You know, that inter-world satellite service gets a little spotty sometimes.

[Five days? When he hasn't been out of Shibuya that long? Hanekoma's face is still as he thinks frantically.]

You left a few days ago when Minamimoto went after ya with that flare of his, didn't ya?

[Ugh. He should have figured. You would think they would make the networks on these things a little more stable...

... but wait. Joshua frowns, tipping his head to the side.]

That happened almost two weeks ago.

Meanin' you got home in between.

[Two weeks? Then the bet's over.] Mind catchin' me up just a little, J? I think I'm runnin' behind.

And subsequently stolen away shortly after~ A vacation is nice, but this is severely pushing it.

[He glances away, wings shifting behind him in irritation. He's not sure why Sanae is from a point in time so far behind him. Maybe something to do with how people are brought into this place?] Have you been told what's going on here yet?

Phones gave me the part about people ending up here from different worlds... but no one's had an explanation for why.

[Hanekoma pauses in turn, and ducks his head, scratching the back of his neck. Well... damn. He hates to ask, but he hates being behind the curve even more.]

I take it things worked out all right.

Unfortunately, that's the part that I can't figure out, either. I thought I might look into it.

[That question, though... Joshua glances back, slightly raising an eyebrow before glancing up at the tops of the nearby buildings.]

You could say that.

That's good enough. [He shrugs and narrows his eyes thoughtfully at Joshua. An apparent difference in time between their appearances... that's bizarre, and being in another world doesn't make it any less so. He's beginning to wonder if his memory was tampered with to convince him he came here of his own will.

If he didn't mind the risk of discovery, he could flip himself back up the Frequencies and try a quick escape. But could he bring Joshua with him when the Composer's been reduced to a Reaper in someone else's game? That's a more complicated question.

Things having worked out well enough back home means that he should have a little time to spend adjusting the odds before he tries anything risky.]

[Believe him, it's new to him, too. Even with Neku, they had been pulled from the same point in time. As far as Joshua knew, they all had. But now, knowing that whatever force was behind this not only had the power to delve into different worlds, but different points in time as well...

... and that comment is getting an indignant look. Don't even start.]

I experienced a sudden and random fit of nostalgia.

Simmer down, Josh, I wasn't trying to be funny. [He crosses his arms with a slight frown, glancing down the street at the familiar mix of running Players and oblivious RG denizens.]

More wonderin' just how whoever's runnin' the joint dragged you in and did that.

[Mhm. Sure. Still not stopping him from being irritated simply by the subject being brought up, sorry.]

I'd like to know the same thing. [A pause.] Something around here smells fishy.
