WEEK 2 DAY 7: MISSION

Noise Plane: Solo
Wall Instructions: None. All reapers are to be on harrier duty. The ban on attacking players directly is still in place.
Wall Rewards: (If anyone puts one up anyway: 5 leu)

[There seems to be a new reaper stalking through the streets of Cluj-Napoca, a familiar sight to a few eavesdroppers in town. The teenager looks no older than fourteen years old, his head covered in bandages. He doesn't seem to be getting winded as he parkours across the rooftops, slipping the streets and alleys of town when he can't, showing a swiftness fitting that wiry frame. Oddly, he doesn't seem to be attacking Players, despite the command that all reapers should harry...

Looks like the GM is cocky once again - there is no direct warning of erasure at the end of this Mission mail. In addition, reapers are still instructed to not attack players directly. You could probably clear the day without completing the mission, as long as you survived... but completing the mission would certainly get you significant recognition at the end of the Game.]

[[OOC note: At its basic, this is a repeat of last week's Day 7: Survive to win. You can also try to take down the GM, or fulfill the secondary mission conditions. Anyone who completes the second 'task' stated will get a Blue Blood Burns Blue in addition to the posted mission reward.]]

[Looks like he's not gonna shake them off easy. Guess it's time that he shows his hand.]

[There's a bit of popcorn.giffing of your banter, there - but then he chuckles and shakes his head. He's not very flashy when he stands, though he does reach into his pocket and pulls out something that he keeps tightly in his fingers.]

Willing to sacrifice a few pawns to capture the king? I know I am. And I know a telekinesis psych isn't gonna be enough to completely immobilize me.

[Zecora takes a calm look around, assessing their environment and surroundings. He's certainly correct to state that an outright battle in here is to their disadvantage at the moment, but not so much that it isn't feasible.]

Should we three begin to fight
Will your superiors take that in a good light?
I'm certain Reapers should not display
Their powers in a blatant way.
No fear of that is in my head--
What can they do to one already dead?

[Sasuke sighs.]

Zecora, would you do me a favor and watch this guy for a second? I'm going to order us a few drinks, and we can try talking this out instead.

[He leaves to go further into the social bar.]

[Seconds later the fire alarm goes off, and Sasuke comes back with his hands in his pockets, a big smirk on his face.]

Actually, those drinks might have to wait. These things never come at a good time.

[The cocky smirk on Rei's face quickly fades when the alarm goes off and people start to evacuate the building. It's replaced by a surprised, but impressed look.]

Well, well! Using chaos to your advantage! I have to admit, I'm impressed. No wonder they're keeping you around; it's folks like you that make this Game so damn beautiful.

[Rei flips the small box in his hands, before ever so casually tossing it away, over the booths and deeper into the bar, before giving a nonchalant shrug.]

I guess it doesn't matter if the place blows up; we're all dead anyway, and you saved the mortals before you even knew you had to. I guess that's what I get for thinking you would protect what was at immediate risk... though now I wonder... now that you've got me cornered, what exactly are you going to do? Capture me alive like the mission wants, or be good little players and go for the kill~?

[And also, Sasuke's feeling lazy today. If he can avoid a fight for the end of this week,he won't complain.]

I suppose that's only fair. I mean, I'm not the Hydra, I don't think killing interesting Players like you two off would be any good at all.

Doesn't mean I'm not going down without a fight.

[And in a motion just as swift as the rooftop-running he'd done before, he pulls out a handful of pins and tosses them in the air, summoning noise - looks like two drakes and five shrews, hemming in the two Players.]

Thanks for clearing out the bar, by the way! I couldn't exactly start tossing out Noise with a bunch of living folk hanging around, could I?

As if we care! The Noise supply

[Zecora backs up to guard Sasuke's flank, then without looking, lifts a pair of tables one after the other to hurl them at the drake on her partner's side, to buy him room. She has Creepy Weepy Barrier for protection, after all.]

A pointless fight! A waste of time!
You're barely even worth this rhyme!

[...Zecora may be just a little fed up with fighting Noise.]

We may be interesting, but these Noise battles are getting really old.

[With his Blink Step, even if he can't protect against it, he can avoid getting too easily pinned in. Sasuke activates Pop Pendulum at the same drake Zecora attacked and then waits for a shrew to show its head.]

[A waste of time indeed. While the two Players are busy with taking down the fiery noise, the Reaper slips between the various tables and chairs being thrown around in a break for the exit.]

[zebrarhyme_everytime]

[He'd said telekinesis wouldn't stop him, so Zecora didn't waste the final dregs of power in Sexy D on him -- instead, she flips a chair into his path, hoping it'll tangle his legs long enough.]

Sasuke! Get on my back!
I'll get you to him to attack!

[She spins in place, ducking her head low to help him.]

[Did she just say--She did. What. Isn't that a little--]

[Whatever. He's not even going to think about it. Sasuke uses a quick Octo Squeeze as hops on Zecora's back and has his Pop Pendulum pin ready for another shot.]

[Rei would probably note how ludicrous that looked, if it weren't for the sudden DESIRE TO GET THE HELL AWAY. They couldn't Erase him in a single attack - neither of them looked strong enough for that - but they could certainly pin him down if they got him.

The chair does slow down the reaper a bit, but it doesn't trip him up - part of parkour is reacting to unexpected changes, after all. When the two clear a path and charge towards him, he turns to a skid and unleashes his own inner Noise, something that the last week's GM may not have done.

Two huge canine heads emerge from his wings, each blowing sheets of drake-like flame towards the two players, lingering after the heads withdraw and revert to the normal Reaper wings. Either they stopped short and survived or they charged forward straight into a very unpleasant Erasure. Either way, by the time the flames clear, the young reaper is gone.

Of course, there's more than a few pins on the ground, left in his haste... and the timers are gone.

Obviously the mission was cleared... in its own way. That's another week survived.]

[Zecora's plan, which she gets halfway through enacting, was to Velocity Attack straight through the drake that blocked their way to the door, then intercept the Reaper before he could escape. But when she crashes through the Noise, she does indeed stop short of the flames with an uttered sentence in the zebra tongue that has an obviously foul meaning.]

It seems we won once more, my friend.

[She glances back over her shoulder at him, then smiles sheepishly.]

Let's not speak of this part again?

[Sasuke hops off as soon as he's able. He could say something, but after the earlier comment of his, that's enough for one day. However that doesn't mean he's willing to do the same for Rei. Sasuke laughs and picks up the pins.]

Ah, I wish I could have taken a picture of that Reaper's face when he saw us coming. That was a nice bonus in addition to these.

[He holds out the pins for his partner.]

We made him run in awkward haste --
Likely the worst defeat he's faced!

[Laughing, Zecora accepts her share of the pins -- not willing to take anything from Sasuke until he's tested them.]
