Mission: Get with the Times.
Time Limit: Short
Noise Plane: Solo
Wall Instructions: Key walls around the Times Square. Keywalls must be cleared by presence of a pact, or by fighting noise.
Wall Rewards: Blown Kiss
Reaped Rewards: Frantic
Mission Rewards: Rare Metal

[It looks like things are back to normal, but that seems to only raise as many questions as it solves. What happened to Tatsumi Port? Why did the phones all go dead like that? And why did nobody see the GM the entire last week...?

But it's no matter. It's the start of another week of the Reaper's Game - and the mission seems the same as ever for Day 1. Now just to figure out where the mission is pointing to.]

[She shakes her head, but...

Xion reaches out to grab Ryoji gently, putting her hands on his shoulders.]

[Ryoji just looks down at one of her hands, curious.]

Why are you touching me?

[He doesn't mean to sound rude, but he honestly doesn't know why she seems so upset.]

[poppetstrings]

[She removes her hands when she speaks, before miming a piece of paper and a pen. Something to write with.]

[Understanding, Ryoji pulls out a small notepad from one pocket, and a pen from the other, passing them to Xion. He'd gotten into the habit of carrying them around last week, and it appears that when he returned to the UG he still had those items.]

[She takes them gently from him, writing down a simple sentence.]

Your emotions are gone?

[emotionaldeath]

[He nods slowly, not really distressed.]

Yes. I think they were my entry fee.

[poppetstrings]

I'm sorry. I know what it's like to not have emotions. Can you at least pretend? Your memories of what they're like should help.

[emotionaldeath]

Pretend? I suppose I could try. I've been remembering how to smile...

[He demonstrates for Xion, mouth stretched in a wide grin that... unfortunately isn't right without the actual happiness behind it. It's only slightly less creepy than Nyx's smile.]

You're trying. That's good.

Then I'll keep trying, if it makes you feel better.

How have you been doing? You still don't have your body back.

[poppetstrings]

If you pretend long enough, they'll seem real.

[That's what she remembers being told, Back when she was in the organization, anyway.]

I'll get my body back when I win the game, I think.

I hope that's true. At the moment, they seem so foreign, even though I remember having them so well.
