WEEK 4 DAY 1: MISSION

Mission: Make an offering to God.
Time Limit: Medium
Noise Plane: Duet
Wall Instructions: Key walls around the Naganaki Shrine. Condition must be a Pact. Seal off the dorm and school.
Wall Rewards: Chaos
Reaped Rewards: One Stroke, Vast Wealth
Mission Rewards: 1000 yen

[It's a slightly different mission than the standard "go here" you get on the first day, although that's still basically what it amounts to. There's a shrine not far from the train station, and it has a Donation Box ...

However, the task is more difficult than what may have been anticipated by veterans of the game, for as soon as the mission mail appears and the timer appears on the Players' hands, the stray noise in the area begin to attack any Players without a pact... better hope you're not alone.]

[Oh crap oh crap oh crap this is really bad.

The Flutters had set up a wall. They can't stop worrying about Kreutzer. She's blind, and she's a player. 'Shy hopes to Celestia, Luna, her friends, Lovers, Discord, even any other deity that exists that Kreutzer's able to make it through this.]

[That's a wall. That pony has (Reaper?) wings. But still, she seems a little... meek to be one.]

... You're a Reaper? Well, what's your condition for the wall?

[That snapped her out of her worry for Kreutzer. It also scared her half to death. She had no idea someone was there. She jumps behind a nearby trash can. It takes a few seconds for her to poke her head out from behind there.]

[With his partner suddenly human, Sasuke has his own problems, but he does have a pact. He's left alone for the most part.]

[But the Noise sure are being active. Sasuke wonders if he'll have to step in or if it would be best for him to get he mission over with and hope the Noise will calm down.]

Nice day for a little bit of Noise, isn't it?

[Asakura's calling out to Sasuke from the rooftop he'd perched on to get a better look at the goings-on of the Game.]

I see they're not giving you as hard a time as they could...such a shame.

[Sasuke looks up and spots the Reaper. Out of all the things he wants to deal with today, this snake isn't one of them. Of course, that means he'll come across him.]

What can I say? They fear me.

[Okay. Ryoji had been... okay before. Sure, it hurt a bit, seeing his old world, but at least this had proved that what SEES had done had saved their world.

And then rapidly, things started going downhill.

He couldn't find any of his Player friends, for some reason. Stranger still, he felt... much more energized than usual. Something seemed to be wrong, and it was just a glimpse in the mirror that confirmed his fears.

The newly turned RGer is hurrying through town, now with two important missions. Find out what exactly is happening in what appeared to be his world, just to make sure it was safe...

And find Xion. He had to make sure she was at least in the Game. She couldn't be gone for good.]

[The Pokereaper abruptly tunes down to the RG, hovering in midair as it faces down Ryoji.]

There is a strange air about you. Explain it.

[Okay, holy crap. Ryoji cries out a bit as he back away, before he remembers himself. Not everyone in the Game looks normal. It doesn't really mean that this being is a bad one.

Still... it's asking a rather difficult question. How does he even begin to explain that to someone who came out of nowhere?]

I-I... can't we at least exchange names first?

[Lucky for Ryoji, she's following him too, right into an area with a Decal on it, luckily enough.

It's too bad she can't exactly get his attention by the normal means, so instead she'll have to maneuver her way around him so he can see.

... Hopefully, even without her face, he'll at least recognize her coat.]

[Ryoji jumps when Xion steps in front of him, but even though her face is obscured, that coat tells him exactly who it is. Immediately, he hugs her, squeezing as tight as he can to make sure she's real.]

Xion... thank God... Are you okay? I was so worried.

(Django was more than ready to handle the change in location, but there was something else about this shift that bothered him entirely. It came to him the instant a student complimented his scarf. When he was outside. He couldn't find his Player Pin, either; in its place, he found his Solar Gun.

He was alive. Maybe not back home, but he was alive. And now, he was determined as all hell to figure out what happened. He began running across the town in search for answers and found himself near a familiar face.)

Ryoji? Did something happen?

[Ryoji sees Django and stops in his tracks, eyes wide.]

D-Django-kun? You're not a Player! Are you...

[Ryoji can talk about 'what' exactly happened later. He still needs time to sort it all out in his head.]

[Something was different today. Something... Ichigo couldn't quite put his talon on what, though. Either way, the Noise were very active, swarming around their new locale like angry ants.

But that wasn't important, right now. Ichigo has a new mission and he intends to complete it. But for points sake, he's set up a wall. But is he just camped in front of it? No. He comes back and checks on it every few minutes, but for the most part he's looking around the general area of the shrine.

What better place to look for a "Godlike" figure?

But fear not; there's a note near the wall.

and scribbled under it is his phone number]

... Is this a toll road?

[Oh thank god. There's someone, or well, a note from someone, that Ryoji should still be able to see. Seems like he's out looking for answers, just like Ryoji. He'll be waiting around by the sign, hopeful that they can at least exchange information.]

(Sup, Ichigo. Any chance you remember this girl waaaaaaaaaay back from week 1? That crazy one? Yeah, here she is again. Except much more sane solemn. And wingless. And walking around as if she can't see a damn thing. Spoilers: she can't.

So once she eventually rests her hand on the wall after feeling her way around the area, the shock from the touch makes her draw it back. So that's what it felt like...nope; not pleasant at all. Completely unaware of the note, Kreutzer simply wait for a Reaper to give further instruction.)

[Having no powers this week is no excuse for Asakura to play nice and set up a wall somewhere. He's cruising around, looking for Players to ease his vexations.

He also appears to have found a long pipe in a dumpster somewhere, and he's carrying it around like a weapon. It's not like he can actually use it, but it makes him happy.]

[Zecora is just having a rough day.]

[Sasuke kindly brought her a dress, but she's still not feeling quite up to speed with this new body. Knowing that the first day is always an easy one, she has no problems letting him go on ahead while she works her best to get used to it.]

[So her activity for the day is, at least so far, strolling around and observing different places.]

[The Flutters are done with their job today an are looking for Zecora. Too bad they don't know that she's a human right now. They flutter up to a strange woman wearing a dress (That'd be you).]

Um, excuse me miss, but... have you seen a Zebra around here...?

(Run. That's all she could think to do. Just...pick a direction, it didn't matter which, and run. She had no idea which pin she had or how to use it (and being partnerless meant she couldn't use it anyway), but more importantly, she couldn't see what to use it on, so with the sudden wave of Noise attacking Players who haven't made a pact yet? Things quickly transitioned from worse to even worse.

This also meant Kreutzer had absolutely no idea where she was going or where she was, as noted by repeatedly running into walls and tripping over numerous things. It's a pretty pathetic sight, but she isn't trying to look good; she's trying to survive.

She couldn't tell exactly what was chasing her, but somehow, she knew the Noise was getting close. At this rate, it wouldn't be long before they caught her...)

So. This is what a failed Reaper is reduced to. A valuable lesson.

[Mewtwo's dramatic descent from the sky is, of course, completely wasted on a foe that can't see it.]
